They should be aware of this.

I also banned you. Someone let you back in.........and we can all see what PA has become. I am no fan of FD, and I have made that quite plain. But I don't need to lick his stamps or he mine.

He has a set of Rules here.....easy to follow. A Moderator simply enforces them. It begins and ends there. Easy.

That will always be the case as you took it to its lowest level. Shutting it down would have been the only way you could have taken it any lower.

The choice of Moderator isn't a general election.

People can put forward names and they would be considered.

But the choice isn't picked by toting up the number of posts of people saying "I support xxx", rather its based on who (from the list put forward or additionals - and that the person wants to do it) - is then deemed best able to carry out the role.

They need not have opinions on the Right, Left Centre or not at all on politics.

The role of Moderator and that of a username giving their views are completely divorced from each other.

That was after he turned the last remaining few posters who were still on the forum against him. Most others simply left, never to return. Freediver had to step in because even after he was voted out of the position, he refused to vacate the premises and squatted. Freediver had to forcefully remove the keys from him. Aussie has had a scorched earth policy ever since, hence the reason why he always tries to run the forum down because he is no longer wanted there.
