Equally, I agree that he would not make a good mod. He is inclined towards being easily manipulated by those who are not so kind as he. Aussie cares too much about being seen to be fair instead of using a more objective measure... hence his being so easily manipulated by less fair minded forumites. He has a habit of doing the wrong thing for the right reasons which tends to put others off side. Aussie takes things personally when the wrong thing is done by him and so will hold a grudge impacting his decision making abilities. He promises to 'follow the letter of the law' without regard for his capacity for discretionary authority to be applied where it is that absurd outcomes would result. He can never please all of the people all of the time, but he would try leaving him the target of attacks. He has a preference to support the perceived underdog, even if the underdog is making an ass of himself.

So yes, AG, Aussie is a good man... too good for the role of mod. Too soft by halves.

Let the role go to a strong willed mind who will seek to satisfy the overarching forum harmony for the greater good of the greatest number. Let Utility dictate the actions of the mod and not categorical imperatives.

And FFS... Let Freediver decide who should mod his forum instead of engaging in this piss weak fence sitting behavior of his.
