Be pretty comparable with the number of Gay Christian churches, I expect.   Roll Eyes

Neither religion nor their followers have a very good track record on Homosexuality and the treatment of gay people.

Well you expect wrong. Try google.

The new catholic pope allows homo priests and the Anglican and Uniting churches have been bending over backwards for years.

Christianity does not allow homosexuality, according to the majority of Christians.  I would hope that the Catholic Church's teachings on Homosexuality will soon reflect this supposed change of mind of the Pontif, 'cause it's still teaching officially that Homosexuality is a sin:

Quote:
Homosexuality as an orientation is considered an "objective disorder" because seen as "ordered toward an intrinsic moral evil", but not as sinful.[1] Homosexuality as sexual activity is seen as a "moral disorder"[1] and "homosexual acts" as "contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity."[2]

[Source]

Care to stop lying about what Catholicism's attitude to homosexuality is?

As for the Anglican and Uniting Churches' position I think you need to do some research:

In the Anglican Church you can't be Gay and a Minister.

In the Uniting Church, you can't be a practising Homosexual and a Minister.

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The teaching of the Church, as stated in the Catechism of the Catholic Church, is that homosexual persons, including priests, "must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity", and that "every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided".[4] Regarding gay sexual activity, however, the Catechism states that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered", and that "under no circumstances can they be approved".[1] These prohibitions apply especially to priests, as the canon law of the Catholic Church requires that clerics "observe perfect and perpetual continence for the sake of the kingdom of heaven".[5] For this reason, priests in Latin Catholic dioceses make vows of celibacy at their ordination, thereby agreeing to remain unmarried and abstinent throughout their lives.

------------

So yes you can be a homosexual priest in the Catholic church so I suggest you stop lying.

Gay Bishops in the Anglican Church.

Since the 1990s, the Anglican Communion has struggled with controversy regarding homosexuality in the church. In 1998, the 13th Lambeth Conference of Anglican bishops passed a resolution stating that homosexual acts are "incompatible with Scripture". In 2002, the Diocese of New Westminster, in the Anglican Church of Canada, permitted the blessing of same-sex unions. In 2003, two openly gay men in England and the United States became candidates for bishop. In the Church of England, Jeffrey John eventually succumbed to pressure to withdraw his name from consideration to be the Bishop of Reading. In the Episcopal Church USA, Gene Robinson was elected and consecrated Bishop of New Hampshire, becoming the first openly gay bishop in the Anglican Communion. This was highly controversial and led several hundred bishops to boycott the 2008 Lambeth Conference. As an alternative to Lambeth, many of these bishops attended the Global Anglican Futures Conference in Jerusalem.[1]

The Uniting Church.

2006 Assembly considered the matter again and did not reach consensus:
Members of its 11th Assembly meeting in Brisbane agreed they were "not of one mind" on the issue of accepting into ministry people who were living in a committed same-gender sexual relationships.
They said that "notwithstanding the hopes of many in the church", the Assembly "is not prepared to exercise further its determining responsibility in this matter".
The key elements in the Assembly’s resolution:
"our acknowledgment and lament that the 10th Assembly decision was a catalyst for concern and pain in the church;
an assurance that congregations who do not wish to receive into placement a minister who is living in a committed same-sex relationship will not be compelled to do so,
and that congregations willing to have such a minister will have their decision respected;

Here you go troll.

Meet America's first openly gay Imam

He’s been condemned by other Muslim leaders, and some local imams have even refused to greet him. But Imam Daayiee Abdullah – believed to be the only openly gay imam in the Americas – is proud of his story.

He was born and raised in Detroit, where his parents were Southern Baptists. At age 15, he came out to them. At 33, while studying in China, Abdullah converted to Islam, and went on to study the religion in Egypt, Jordan and Syria. But as a gay man in America, he saw that lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Muslims had unmet spiritual needs and he became an imam to provide community support.

“Sometimes necessity is the mother of invention. And because of the necessity in our community, that's why I came into this particular role,” he told America Tonight about his journey.

His first act as an imam? Performing funeral rites for a gay Muslim who died of AIDS.

“They had contacted a number of imams, and no one would go and provide him his janazah services,” he said, referring to the Muslim body cleaning ritual. That pained him.

“I believe every person, no matter if I disagree with you or not, you have the right as a Muslim to have the proper spiritual [rites] and rituals provided for you. And whoever judges you, that will be Allah's decision, not me.”

It’s one of the mantras he lives by in his work, even as others condemn him.

Regarding your so called Imam  Grin

" Even Abdullah is not certain exactly when people began calling him Imam.
(Who declared him an Imam? When was he ordained, where and by whom?)[clarification needed][11]
" Around 2000, he joined the online Yahoo! group Muslim Gay Men.[11] On this forum, there were many who claimed to be gay, but were intent on telling those who were seeking help that the Qur’an forbids homosexuality.[11] Abdullah attempted to refute these comments by explaining that one is to follow the Qur’an first and the Haddith second.[11][how?] Through this, he began to gain popularity among homosexuals and allies across the online community.[11]

Lol wally if you call yourself a gay troll I guess it must make you one or a gay pharaoh. It seems he is not so muslim after all [clarification not needed]  Grin

Aussie muslims say they need acceptance, but there happily joining the gay parade.PFFT.

So they are accepted in the gay parade, no need to push the values onto other muslims who dont want to be queer.

How can they tell whether those Muslims want to be queer without trying to push it onto them?

Didnt you read the first two paragraphs of the original post, or are you trolling?

I read them. It is your post I am having trouble figuring out. Should gay Muslims satisfy themselves with acceptance among gays at a pride parade? Why can't they share their views with other Muslims?

What do you think of Gandalf's interpretation of Islam's stance on homosexuality?

Anyone can call themselves an Imam. Muslims haven't had a central religious authority since the last Caliph. It's hard to imagine one being as accommodating as the Christian examples cited here.
