My son-in-law's father is a dinky die Southerner from Alabama.  I've never met him other than on FaceBook where he posts like he is as redneck as anyone can ever be.  (Privately, he's quite the charmer.)  Pro gun, bit bent and twisted on slavery, but just hates anything north of the Dixie Line.
