Cronulla Sharks have sacked troubled playmaker Todd Carney following the social media photo scandal, it is being reported.

A picture of Carney performing a lewd act at a urinal in Northies nightclub surfaced overnight and has gone viral on social networks since.

Carney still had three years left on his Cronulla contract but the club has decided to cut the $650,000 a season player. The club will confirm the sacking at a press conference this afternoon.

So once again Carney’s career is up in the air. Already sacked by his club the NRL could de-register him, meaning no club could pick him up.
