The Coalition, despite all it's histrionics was unable to garner the numbers in the House to pass a vote of no-confidence and in fact never tried. Instead all they did was disrupt proceedings and insult her as much as possible. The only thing we've seen change is that they are the Government and they use the "c" word to describe the Leader of the Opposition, something no one in Labor ever has.

I think she deserves a lot more credit than she necessarily gets. Indeed, most of the criticism of her performance centres around her femininity which is IMO sexism. Roll Eyes

First of all, the NDIS wasn't fully funded and secondly her gender had zero to do with her downfall. It was all about her policies and her incompetence - the same reasons for Rudd's downfall TWICE!!!

Actually, it had a great deal to do with it. The attitudes of many on both sides of politics was that she was "barren" and that had "sacrificed her potential child bearing to her political ambitions", things which have never been mentioned about her male predecessors or successors. Perhaps if Tim had been able to have kids, all would have been right? Roll Eyes
