Sure, and so what. So what if Abbott does? Well, it ties up additional security staff, and as Lambie says, places them at a risk they would not otherwise be exposed to, however slight that be.

It also appeals to the family voter.

I'll say, ex-Corporal Truckie Lambie is another exceptionally silly politician to have a good laugh at.
She can keep the equally ditsy Sarah Hanson-Young company when they are both in Canberra.
Party leaders have been taking their family on stage on election nights for years.

Noone is suggesting otherwise, however, only Abbott has so heavily relied upon his family during (and as integral, planned deployment weapons) the election campaign

yes and kev's daughter is no shrinking violet either is she; on radio, tv, in the press or all over twitter and the Net. Gotta get the youth vote ya know.
