No, I'm not supporting her, and I've never claimed to support her ... but I'm not willing to write her off on your say so either .... your view that her claim was stupid is coming from a very different perspective than hers. She spent many years being worried about being shot at, you spent the same amount of time worrying about shooting your load too early ... different perspectives ... and if you left your hypocrisy and stupidity at the door for a second you'd know it was true.

as a side note, I did say very early on in this thread that I didn't agree with her concerns about the security risk ... I agree, there is no 'real' security issue, but I do enjoy it when a fruit loop has a go at Abbott .... it makes politics so much more interesting.

Is that your answer to my question about which part of what she said today was a disaster?

Further, she is absolutely right to prioritise the interests of the State which elected her above the national interest if ever there is a conflict between the two. That is her responsibility. The Senate exists to protect States' rights and interests and to be a house of review.
