what matters is we live in a democracy and the people of australia have decided they dont like boats.

What is it about boats that scares you?

What is it about Mr Morrison doing what the community wanted that scares you.
I'm sure it scares some in the assylum industry. they may need to get a real job.

You didn't answer my question.

"the people of australia have decided they dont like boats" - what is it about boats that you don't like?

So Greggorry ,do you personally think there is anything illegal by being a people smuggler customer??

I think it's illegal for people to wear green shoes.

But that's not what matters. What matters is WHETHER it is illegal for people to wear green shoes.  Is it? Nope.  Just like it isn't illegal to arrive to this country by boat.

Well when you pay a criminal to put your kids on an unseaworthy boat and they drown a negligence issue seems to arise.

In a desperate situation a person can do negligent things. But still not illegal.
In Australia things like that would get your kids taken off you. Putting your children in the care of criminals on the high seas is pretty negligent.

I know it isn't. There should be something done about it because a lot of children became fish food.

Well, Mr Abbott said he would stop the boats.

He wouldn't lie, would he?

Well the other mob didn't stop anything and thousands of people died. That's the thing I don't understand about you people, you don't seem to concerned with all the death. If you did you'd denounce people smuggling.

The other mob were useless, when it came to asylum seekers.

Moreover, I don't encourage people smuggling.

However, I've never had to flee persecution, so I can't really condemn people for doing anything it takes (within the law) to save their lives.

glad to hear you admit they are negligent.

Let's get this clear.  Those people who get on boats make their own risk assessment of what they (and their kids) might be confronted with on their voyage.  Lots of factors I imagine, but just getting on the boat per se is not an act of negligence.

You are right. Knowingly and deliberately putting your children in danger is not negligence, it is criminal.

You just gonna keep going until you get one right?

Seeking asylum is criminal - wrong.
Being in a boat without a visa is criminal - wrong.
Paying people smugglers is criminal - wrong.

People with fluro pink hair is criminal.  And yet it isn't. Just like putting your children on an asylum seeker boat is not criminal.

Any more?

Is putting children on a dangerous boat criminal when they have been found not be fleeing persecution?
