Yes, how dastardly of those evil women to do all they can to avoid having their children sent back to those lovely peaceful paradises in Syria and Iraq.
Didnt they come here from Indonesia? what threat were they under there?

Asylum seekers are under no obligation (legal or otherwise) to stop at the first country they come to.  Absolutely none.

They are under threat in Syria and Iraq, and are now in the process of fleeing those countries.
Of course they dont. Thats why they pick a country which offers them the best economic opportunites.

And we are under absolutely no obligation to let them in from a safe country without any travel documents

Leaving Indonesia - they are not fleeing their own country where they are supposedly persecuted. Towing tem back there is not refoulement.
They have no permission to leave Indonesia - they are being smuggled out and corrupt Indonesians turn a blind eye.
They have no permission to enter Australia - they have no travel documents and are not fleeing Indonesia.

If we were next to a country they are fleeing and they came without a passport, we would have them. But under the current circumstances they have no claim on us. This is why they are not allowed in.

Fleeing your own country does not mean that you have to be given undocumented entry into ANY country of your choice (beggars can't be choosers).

I'm normally loath to bring up off-topic admin stuff, but since a user made a big song and dance about it for all to see, let me clarify a a few points...

- personal abuse will not be tolerated
- derailing a thread with a complaint about being warned for personal abuse (as opposed to a PM to an admin) will not be tolerated
- re-posting the same complaint after an admin has deleted especially won't be tolerated.

And so turning back the boatloads of Middle Easterners to Indonesia does not violate our obligations under the Convention in any way.

Indonesia does not process and settle asylum seekers. They were in legal limbo there.

Seriously, you think a ban is something I care about? B*tch, please...

Also, for the record, stop lying. I reposted a post you deleted simply because you're so massively unethical you delete posts that question your ability to moderate impartially. Had you not abused your "authority" there would have been no need for a repost.

P.S. Good luck getting rid of me short of banning every IP range on the North American Continent. Dummy email addresses are hilariously easy to find and you dipsh*ts have your poo set to open registration. Seriously, are you on "Baby's First Forum" or something?

Only as asylum seekers. Indonesia allows them to stay, work and everything else without threat of persecution.

It's certainly tolerated if it's one of your little lefty friends. Why be a mod if you can't be fair?

See my previous comment about Gandalf's stunning lack of integrity, lady.

There are  people on here calling people bigots, douches , scumbags etc etc but they never seem to get banned. It seems he judges a ban on if he agrees with the poster or not.

How do you know that "people on here calling people bigots, douches, scumbags etc etc" aren't being banned?

The mods don't publish a list of people who have been banned.

Is it possible, Soren, that you have mistaken me for someone else?
