Question for the conga line
Jul 10th, 2014 at 2:12pm

Is Abbott a much bigger disaster than you expected or is this disaster of a government what you expected all along?

He surprised me, I never expected it to be this bad even though I knew he'd be a failure.

Define conga line and I'll answer.
Nah, I'll answer this loaded question anyway.

It's not a disaster. The senate is a disaster and is not fulfilling its true function as a LOYAL house of review.

I say it's exactly fulfilling its true function as a house of a review.

Oh, we had some idea, but we weren't really after quality. Our main priority was a leader who would give the leftards as much grief as possible.

I must say, Mr Abbott has succeeded beyond all our expectations.

We were a bit worried when Mr Abbott said in his victory speech he would govern in the interest of all Australians. But we settled down in Mr Abbott's first week when he made himself the minister of Women's Affairs.

By that stage, we knew he was our man.

Not according to the Senate and its Consititutional role.

There is no such thing as it should be loyal to the current government because one half of that senate was elected at the previous election dont forget.

There is no such thing as it should be loyal to a leftard government.

But when the grown-ups are in charge, the senate should be a rubber stamp.

Mr Abbott's putting a panel together to propose constitutional reform on this. Andrew Bolt, Gerard Henderson, and Piers Ackerman are on the list. I'd like to see Matty involved.

Thoughts?

No surprise to this little black duck.

The big surprise was that so many normally sane and intelligent people fell for the '3-word slogan' campaign.

Ah yes, but what glorious words they were.

Mr Abbott won Student Union elections with much less, you know.

I said all along that both Rudd and Gillard were incompetent, inefficient, bungling and somewhat dysfunctional but an Abbott led coalition would be dangerous.

I was right. Abbott is downright dangerous both domestically and internationally, that's why thousands of Australians are marching all around the nation, every month, because they have "no confidence in the Abbott government".

He's getting more radical as he loses support.

I never voted for LIB's.

But they are stopping the illegals so that's a good thing.

Plus we are seeing the 99% cheering on the bloated 1% miner. I never tire of laughing at the hypocrisy of left wing loops, so that's pretty funny.

If this your attempt at humour its lacking a punchline, the senate is not about cow towing to a belligerent government, its not there to serve the government, its there to make sure the government serves the people.

At the moment the senate is the only shred of democracy left in our system. State governments abandoned the people years ago for big business and developers and are as corrupt as hell as result.

If you want stable authoritarian government China might be your best hope because democracy by its very nature is chaotic.

So how did the people vote at the election?

What was the ALP promise during the election in regards to the CT repeal?

PUP is there for PUP, no one else and definately not for "the people".
