Look Gandalf, most of us appreciate that wrong has been done on both sides - and by the British & French last century - and by stupid interfering UN people.

But the situation is this problem is never going to be solved unless there is give & take on both sides.
It won't be solved while rockets are shot into Israel.
It won't be solved while Israel retaliates.
It won't be solved while there are people like Hamas who will never accept that Israel has a right to exist.

What we have here is two people who probably can't ever coexist. They have different world views.
It is a question of land fundamentally but where is the extra land going to come from?
It seems to me that Jordan and Syria ought to be the ones to cede some territory towards a Palestinian state, if that is ever a possibility - the two Palestinian factions are as divided as Hamas and Israel.
The border lines of Jordan and Syria were artificial to start with. Let them make a magnanimous Islamic gift of some of their land for the Palestinians.

So? Now Israel wants to control its border with people who have been shooting at it since 1948.
A fence is not a blockade. There was no blockade until Hamas was elected and then it was both by Israel and Egypt.
