This is a war with huge civilian casualties.......I don’t understand why any civilized person would seek to minimize or deflect from the fact that innocent people are being massacred by Israel.
Israel has every right to defend itself from Palestinian rockets. It doesn’t have the right to massacre an entire population. Israel is currently breaking international law and breaching UN resolutions. You might disagree with the resolutions, but no one can pretend Israel isn’t violating them.
Hamas in its charter promotes murder and genocide.
Hamas and Fatah leaders have publicly declared these things;
[about the Jews and about Hamas]; "they love life and we love death"
[about their own children]; "Our children are our glory and honor, they were created to be fertilizer for the land of Palestine, and for our pure land to be saturated with their blood."
Demanding that Israel does not 'shoot back' - whenever Hamas militants are found to be crouching behind a woman who is holding a small child in her arms - is choosing to surrender to Hamas's terrorist tactics, and is giving Hamas terrorists immunity in their 'freedom fighting' violence.
Bibi explains it better that i can....

Hamas's military tactics require an Israeli military response, even when everyone - including Israel - know, that Israel's military response will result in Gazan civilian casualties.
Hamas is counting upon world public opinion to censure Israel, for those casualties.
While Hamas itself cares less, about any world public opinion criticism that comes to its own doorstep.
And why should it ?
Because when the dust settles, and the reconstruction aid, from the world community will once again begin to flow - that aid will flow through Hamas's own hands, with the Hamas organisation able to surreptitiously direct large amounts of that aid into building military infrastructure, which will once again be used in its next conflict with Israel.
And yet, Palestinian children don’t vote.
Nor did the children of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Your replies are no more than abstractions. This is a war, and it needs to end.
