Dear Chicken,
there is no safe place in Gaza for civilians.
There is usually no safe place for civilians caught up in any war eh.
Perhaps they can go to the southern checkpoint that the Egyptians control eh.
Which is probably not a bad idea considering the Israeli government and the IDF's long awaited determination to destroy Hamas once and for all.
No point in stopping again with the job only half done.
There would be no room for 1.8 million poor souls there -
most of them caught up in a war they want nothing to do with.
you are forgiven for flippancy
namaste
You mean to say their Islamic brothers in Egypt would not give the Gazan's shelter?
I'm sure 1.8 million people could fit in an area the size of ten football ovals comfortably.
If the Rolling Stones can hold a free concert a few years ago on a beach in South America in front of 1 million concert goers, I'm sure 1.8 million can fit in a larger area on the southern border with Egypt eh.
The real question is would Hamas allow people to leave Gaza?
But it's not Egypt that's dropping bombs, is it? What is it with the constant blame-shifting of rabid Zionists?
The children are dying because Israel are wiping them out. The retaliation in Rafah has been worse than anything we've seen so far - all for a 'kidnapped' soldier who was already dead. Quite the convenienet excuse to level an entire town.
And the IDF snipers shoot civilians while they're combing the rubble for a sign of loved ones. And if they don't kill them with the first shot, they shoot them while theyre lying wounded on the ground until they do.
A most moral military.
And don't forget even Hamas terrorists are also civilians in Gaza.
War is hell Annie.
You forget that the children are dying because Hamas cannot even stick to a ceasefire they themselves called for.
In fact, Hamas has never stuck to a ceasefire.
They have reneged on all of them, and the only peace they are interested in comes after they have destroyed Israel and sent all the Jews up the chimney because eradication of all Jews is their aim.
So they would rather spend their time trying to kill Jews rather than allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Gaza and Hamas has well and truly earned the response from the IDF this time, and the Israeli government and the IDF are committed to wiping Hamas out once and for all.
You mentioned the IDF sniper, don't forget the IDF soldier at a checkpoint a couple of years ago who raced our from behind cover to the open ground to disarm a bomb belt strapped on a crying mentally handicapped Gazan child sent forward by terrorists towards the Israeli checkpoint.
That child was saved at considerable risk to all concerned.
