Dear Chicken,
there is no safe place in Gaza for civilians.
There is usually no safe place for civilians caught up in any war eh.
Perhaps they can go to the southern checkpoint that the Egyptians control eh.
Which is probably not a bad idea considering the Israeli government and the IDF's long awaited determination to destroy Hamas once and for all.
No point in stopping again with the job only half done.
There would be no room for 1.8 million poor souls there -
most of them caught up in a war they want nothing to do with.
you are forgiven for flippancy
namaste
You mean to say their Islamic brothers in Egypt would not give the Gazan's shelter?
I'm sure 1.8 million people could fit in an area the size of ten football ovals comfortably.
If the Rolling Stones can hold a free concert a few years ago on a beach in South America in front of 1 million concert goers, I'm sure 1.8 million can fit in a larger area on the southern border with Egypt eh.
The real question is would Hamas allow people to leave Gaza?
But it's not Egypt that's dropping bombs, is it? What is it with the constant blame-shifting of rabid Zionists?
The children are dying because Israel are wiping them out. The retaliation in Rafah has been worse than anything we've seen so far - all for a 'kidnapped' soldier who was already dead. Quite the convenienet excuse to level an entire town.
And the IDF snipers shoot civilians while they're combing the rubble for a sign of loved ones. And if they don't kill them with the first shot, they shoot them while theyre lying wounded on the ground until they do.
A most moral military.
Hamas was not concerned about Jewish children when it started this war and the one before it.
When war is started, the idea is that you kill the enemy. Hamas followed this principle by lobbing rockets in order to kill the enemy - the Jews. Not soldiers, not grown ups - just the enemy, the Jews.
The Jews, in response, are shooting back and started with warning texts, phone calls, dummy shells. Now, it's about killing the enemy.
That's war - and it ends when one side knows it's beaten.
This will stop when either Hamas asks for a cease fire or when the Jews are satisfied that Hamas is destroyed.
This is not a war between the 'children' and the IDF. It is between Hamas and Israel.
The sad thing about the Arabs is that they do not want to realise )partly because it is against their religion) that after WWII you can't bugger with the Jews at will. That's it. Israel is not going to give in because the Jews know that once they give in, that's the end of Israel.
Hamas knows that, even if you don't, and that's why they are literally throwing their children into the fire, to force Israel to give in. But it's simply not going to happen. You can demonise the Jews a much as you like but everyone knows that Israel doesn't want to destroy Islam and the Arab nations but wants peace, recognition and security while the Arabs want to destroy Israel at any cost and they do not accept its existence.
Hamas and ISIS and the Taleban and Boko Haram and all the other crazy Islamists are sacrificing their children to this animosity towards the Jews.
These children are sacrificed by the Muslims to the Muslims' insatiable hatred of Jews.
Demanding that Israel does not 'shoot back' - whenever Hamas militants are found to be crouching behind a woman who is holding a small child in her arms - is choosing to surrender to Hamas's terrorist tactics, and is giving Hamas terrorists immunity in their 'freedom fighting' violence.
Bibi explains it better that i can....
