When it was not their choice or fault right out of the gate. What a depraved god that would be to condemn a woman for being forced into prostitution - to need forgiveness for being the victim. I suppose next you'll be trying to tell us that Muhammad was instructing his boys not to rape the captives (as he himself did Rayhanah), rather than his in fact instructing them to go ahead and complete the sex act, thereby impregnating the captives if "Allah" willed that the violated women become pregnant.

As for myself, personally, I actually agree with you BUT I am simply pointing out that you are parsing the verse incorrectly.  It does not give forgiveness to the pimps but rather it says God forgives the prostitute, if she is forced into prostitution against her will, where as it would normally see prostitution as a sin.  The Old Testament Bible does not forgive prostitutes for the act of prostitution (although Christ did, if they repented).  No matter what their circumstances.  The Koran is saying that the circumstance of the woman must be considered, it cannot be ignored and she can't be condemned if she was forced to do it.

Perhaps you need to open your mind a bit rather than allowing prejudice to control it?
