Technically yes, but I've never seen Das initiate abuse. He does defend himself occasionally, but as it is defence only, he will be possibly be forgiven. As the initiator - you won't be.

EVERY post this clown makes is abuse, or do you only have selective reading ability? Come to think of it every one of your posts seems to toady to people like this fool. Go back to sleep.

This; something present (guess who that was in your post)

Iraq war was illegal and breached UN charter, says Annan
Not only was it an illegal war, the war gave birth to the fanatical nuts (mainly religious) rampaging in Iraq and syria now.  Don't forget that this is exactly what the people said would happen in 2003 if we launched the Iraq war.  But no the pollies chased the economic interests of their puppet masters and now we have a much bigger, more cohesive and determined enemy to fight and it could easily get far worse.  Thanks John Howard. You along with Bush and Blair are to blame for this mess and I dearly hope one day to see you on trial for your deceitful lies and the deaths that resulted and the troubles that are now coming to fruition and will remain with us for decades to come.

America wanted cheaper middle east oil and Sadam was in the way, so America destabilised the country and still does so nobody can get back into power and charge a fair price for the countries Oil.

Why is it that the lefties n here are such morally bankrupt cretins that they support Putin and now apparently support the genocide of thousands in Iraq??

I am gobsmacked by the standard of some of you who literally support Putin and now support the massacre of thousands all because standing up to them might benefit Abbott's polls???  not even the moral vacuums in the Greens and Labor's left are doing this.

You cant see past your cold war obsessions and your simplistic black and white notions of "goodies and baddies" and so you react like a lunatic when confronted by those who understand that the world is a little more complex then you are capable of comprehending.

On the contrary, it's pretty damned clear.

Hussein was a fanatical nut himself.  Iran is full of them too, as is the rest of the Middle East and Israel is surrounded by them.

What has stirred them up is that they know the UN is toothless, Europe has no balls and the only nation that they're scared of is Israel because it doesn't muck around.  It can't afford to.

and yet sometimes, it is JUST SIMPLE.  standing up to a bully and a war-monger like Putin is not a complex issue. It is a moral issues, a test of character.  just as the west went weak at Hitler, they are doing the same at Putin.  War is often the result of one side being weak and cowardly.  the cold war never became a hot war because neither side were.  WW2 occurred because Europe was (as always) weak and compromised.

As we all know people are inclined to stick with a government in the event of war, it seems Abbott is desperate to get on board with any conflict or tragic event around the world to get some traction with the Australian people and do some more grandstanding . How long before he deploys our troops and where, will this coincide with a DD. He knows LNP are doomed and we know a dog act like this isn't beyond him.

I thought this was about bombing ISIS?  You mean we're tangling with
Russia as well?  One war at a time....

The US is working on a graduated response - first supply refugees and therefore make a statement; next protect them with air strikes when there is clear evidence of direct attack on that protected area; third, move on to wider-ranging strikes as a preventative measure.

If ISIS had any brains, they'd be realising that the appearance of US aircraft, even freight aircraft, is a sign of things to come.  A single missile fired at those will result in stage 1.a - protection of humanitarian flights.

As for Tony Abbott - he may well be in the same situation as Wee Johnnie found himself with the outbreak of DSII - but I seriously doubt that will affect his standing, or lack of it, with the Australian people.  Too far out from an election to call a war....

Rutte (Netherlands PM) is copping a hiding due to his piss weak response to Russia over MH17, while Abbott is due for a heroes welcome because of his tough stance.

Now that would be a bonus....

How terribly true.... if he were half the man Maggie was..... most of her achievements were negative but at least she achieved something.... I'll find it somewhere here.....

Nah then.... Australia is not really in the position to send strike aircraft - not enough to defend Oz if we do..... maybe the Navy was right when they wanted six aircraft carriers, two biggies and four smallies.  We could globally project to our hearts content... and offer air patrols etc around all Oz....

Input probably limited to SAR and supply missions...

Did Uncle Sam retire the A-10s yet........
