Hi Aussie.

He is allowing snuff movie pics on his  Islam section.

You'll find I am online most of the time - 24/7. But that just means my PC is on and the ozpolitic site is open. It doesn't mean I am looking at stuff. Cut me some slack.

I think it only shows you as online if you have clicked on something in the last 15 minutes. The site has no way of knowing if you leave a page open, unless it is streaming something.

Staged does not mean fake. It means was was not an impromptu beheading that someone just happened to catch on video. Also, the experts are not claiming that Foley was not killed and his head removed, merely that the part of the video that purports to show that is some kind of mimicry.

It is strange that ISIS would do that. They could have done a few practice runs, one of which ended up in the video. You can't do several takes of chopping someone's head off, so they would make sure it all works before doing the deed. There could be something wrong with the video of the actual beheading - eg blood spurting onto the screen and obscuring the act, camera getting knocked over, victim getting up and running away, technical problems, jihadist cutting his own thumb off, etc. Anything that embarrasses the jihadists would be motivation to edit in the practice run rather than a botched beheading.

I'm not surprised if thats what happened. Though I can't give my own take on it since I won't be watching the video. I remember the famous 2004 beheading by that AQ guy in Iraq, it was straight away clear that he was already dead and the scream was just a pre-recording.

If ISIS has been going on a murderous rampage as has been alleged, surely they've had plenty of practice at beheading people?  Why would would they need to undertake rehearsals?   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

I have no doubt they are great at cutting people's heads off. It is making movies that they need to rehearse. Even the experts have been known to use a few takes. You don't want to realise after you have removed the head that you forgot to turn the sound on.

In my opinion this makes it even more micabre - they made Foley rehearse his own death.

If it's fake, and why they'd bother is beyond me given they admit doing the decapitation ~ then:

(a)  They take him to where the video is filmed, and he says his bit.  *Cut.*

(b)  They take him inside, and behead.  *Cut.*  (Yeas....poor choice of word.)

(c)  They take him back to the first site, and fake it with the little knife.

You're being trolled, Datalife.

Why waste time on these pests whose only interest is to pull your chain and see you dance for them.

They haven't the vaguest interest in the actual subject matter itself, as demonstrated by their impossibly stupid objections to anything we say of a negative nature about Islam and the Muslim congregation.

Don't let them feed you peanuts and prod you through the cage bars as they would like to imagine us.

Benefit of the doubt and all that stuff, you know, "innocent until proven guilty" sort of concepts?  I don't doubt you prefer to jump on the Islamophobe bandwagon but I prefer to see things proved.  There seems to be some doubt about this little movie, now doesn't there, so why should all the other movies be true?    Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

You can give ISIS the benefit of the doubt of engaging on a murderous rampage,  no one stopping you thinking they are innocent till proven guilty.

Gives a good perspective on your thought processes though and going to be interesting watching you try to apply that benefit of doubt and innocent until proven guilty honestly, say when you are accusing the great satan or Israel of stuff.

You will be consistent I hope.   Grin Grin Grin

Nope not me.  I can assess for myself from what I read, from what I see on TV and from listening to experts, and victims and on the balance of probabilities that ISIS is engaged in a murderous rampage without it being needed to be proven in a court of law.

That is your silly position, "innocent until proven guilty" and the "benefit of doubt" and I hope that you apply it consistently.

But I know you won't.  Cool

Who's now showing an inability at comprehension?  I never mentioned "a court of law," DL.  That is your projection.

Perhaps I just have a higher standard or proof than you do, as you appear rather willing to accept what ever the Tabloids tell you.  I can't see you reading Fairfax or watching the ABC, afterall, they're just full of lefty Sandalista opinion...   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
