There is no conclusive evidence that [in the heat of a fire-fight against Hezbollah] the Israelis knew, or could know,
any such thing.
How could the Israelis know that a large number of civilians were located at teh position where the Hezbollah fire was originating from ?
They could not.
Hizbollah fire wasn't originating from the UN compound, Yadda.
They had the area under observation for some time with a drone. They would have seen the large number of civilians moving in and out of the compound. They would have seen the large UN signs and flags from their drone.
Yet they still fired on it.
Quote:All that the Israelis knew for certain [in the heat of a fire-fight against Hezbollah], was that fire was coming upon Israeli positions from an identified location within Lebanon.
It was not a fire-fight, it was a long range exchange of artillery fire. I'd recommend you not try and use terminology which you don't understand, Yadda.
