Anyoned with an ISIS flag should be hanged in public.

On what grounds?  Under what law?  Or do you just prefer a bit of mob justice followed by a good ol' lynching, Bobby?   Roll Eyes

Someone said we could not judge a person's Aboriginality on their skin colour.  Why isn't that applied in the matter of Pascoe?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Sorry, Sprint, what does a Kings Cross bouncer recruiting soldiers for ISIL have to do with a mosque auctioning off a fake ISIS flag?

I think your values are rather random, but I do see the funny side.

You blame Islam.

yes, I hold islam responsible for ALL the islamics you name above.

Not leftys, Satanists, kiteflyers, poets or wrestlers.
Just islam.

So, FD, how do you reconcile that statement with:

What we need to do is stop alienating the entire muslim community and work with them towards the goals we have in common. The more we tar them all with the same brush, the more we push weaker individuals towards extremism.

Just interested to know...   Roll Eyes

The usual crowd of course claim they're Australians despite losing sight it seems of one of the core beliefs of what constitutes Australianness!    Grin Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Interesting statement.  What are some of the other core beliefs that constitute Australianness?   Cool

I believe Australian society believes in freedom and dignity of the individual, freedom of religion, commitment to the rule of law, Parliamentary democracy, equality of men and women and a spirit of egalitarianism that embraces mutual respect, tolerance, fair play and compassion for those in need and pursuit of the public good.

I believe Australian society values equality of opportunity for individuals, regardless of their race, religion or ethnic background.

This is often expressed as a belief in a "fair go" for everybody.

You disagree?   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

Just getting it on the record, so your core beliefs that constitute Australianness are a fair go, freedom and dignity of the individual, freedom of religion, commitment to the rule of law, Parliamentary democracy, equality of men and women,  mutual respect, tolerance, fair play and compassion for those in need and pursuit of the public good.

Basically, plus freedom from persecution by bigots/racists/Xenophobes/Islamophobes/Homophobes/etc.

And yours DL are, what exactly?

Oh, and yes, some Muslims don't favour some or all of those things, just as some non-Muslims don't.  I can point to many here who post abusive messages about certain religious/ethnic/racial groups as excellent examples of them.

And finally, I'll point out because I'm sure you need it said DL, these are the things I believe, I'm only too willing to admit that I don't always necessarily live up to these values.  I try though.  Do you?  Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin
