The terrorists have defeated you already.

What a pathetic little coward you turned out to be.

Meanwhile, I continue to live my life the same as usual.

I disagree, some conservatives are smart, thoughtful, astute and caring people, they just tend to avoid forums...

Quote:
Historian Geoffrey Blainey, achieved mainstream recognition as a critic of multiculturalism when he wrote that multiculturalism threatened to transform Australia into a "cluster of tribes". In his 1984 book All for Australia, Blainey criticized multiculturalism for tending to emphasise the rights of ethnic minorities at the expense of the majority population and for being "anti-British", despite the British being the largest group to have migrated to Australia. According to Blainey, such policies created divisions and threatened national cohesion. He argued that "the evidence is clear that many multicultural societies have failed and that the human cost of the failure has been high" and warned that "we should think very carefully about the perils of converting Australia into a giant multicultural laboratory for the assumed benefit of the peoples of the world."[31]

In one of his numerous criticisms of multiculturalism, Blainey wrote:

For the millions of Australians who have no other nation to fall back upon, multiculturalism is almost an insult. It is divisive. It threatens social cohesion. It could, in the long-term, also endanger Australia's military security because it sets up enclaves which in a crisis could appeal to their own homelands for help.

Blainey remained a persistent critic of multiculturalism into the 1990s, denouncing multiculturalism as "morally, intellectually and economically ... a sham."

Chickens are now heading home.

And what about professional idiot Jerzy Zubrzycki the Polish lunatic. Why was he allowed to conduct his experiment here in Australia? Why didn't he establish his stupid policy in Poland first so that he could point out his stupidity worked. He's now dead after leading a well-remunerated life thanks to the Australian tax payer. Australian's are now the ones who have to struggle along with this artificial society he helped to create.

Quote:
Prof. Jerzy B. Zubrzycki AO CBE (born 12 January 1920 in Kraków; died 20 May 2009[1] in Canberra) was a Polish-born Australian sociologist, widely regarded as the "Father of Australian Multiculturalism".[2] He was a member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

People like greg calling concerned citizens cowards don't realise how this issue could easily escalate into something very very nasty .
the mood in suburbia if something did happen, I think it would be the Cronulla riots x 10.
I know of a teenager who tried to hang herself after night terrors over this stuff.
2 things need to happen.

the community need to be made safe and everyone needs to get behind our law enforcement authorities.
to say this is cowardly is beyond belief.

secondly, the muslim community need to be at the front line in hunting down every radical. if they don't, they don't have credibility. there should be muslins standing next to the authorities every time they announce something and they should be doing "noddies"
when abbott speaks on this issue he should be flanked by imans doing noddies saying "we agree with everything you are doing, Mr prime minister"

Just discussing that elsewhere - Muslims should be denouncing the radical idiots amongst them, not defending them and hiding them behind silly things like .. "He's not the terrorist!  He's just a naughty boy!"

Nodding heads indeed.  If the Muslim community had of been as quick off the mark, showing similar energy and initiative in disowning the actions of their head lopping brothers every time a Muslim is proudly holding a head for selfies in the evening news as they were in organising against police actions they would go a long way to countering their negative PR.

So , I can see how a disaffected youth in western sydeny must feel.
The touchy feeleys wont be able to connect to these youth.
I doubt they respect their muslim leaders either, probably seeing them as weak.
teenage boys gravitate to strength.

some of the stronger muslims in the community. some of the muslim footballers, muslim boxers (yes, you Anthony mundine), martial arts stars, maybe even muslim bikers   could run a program to re engage with these disaffected youth.

how about a police versus muslim youth football match as a team bonding session

Oh god, all this wailing over a beat up to make Abbott look good!

Those “enclaves” exist—for first generation immigrants. Second generation—not nearly so much.

Australian society is richer for being more than a bland AngloSaxonCeltic dough. Serbs and Croats likewise caused a bit of strife 40–50 years ago. But conservatives always fearful of change, of growth, still bewail what has been happening since the 1950s.
