Meanwhile in domestic affairs.
Sep 21st, 2014 at 10:21am

With all this talk about terrorism and these draconian laws being implemented that are a gross invasion on the civil liberties of the good Australian citizens and the persecution of a minority with no more bad apples than the next it has come as a welcome distraction for the LNP.

Below i have compiled a list of LNPs achievement's just in case anyone is buying in to this whole LNP deflection.

1.   There are no achievements to talk of, one mediocre day of failures drifts in to the next.

Tomorrow (Monday 22nd September) I shall rise early. I will shower and have brekkie. I will walk to the station and entrain at the nominated time. I will travel to Wynyard and collect the mail and then return to Central. I will walk to the place where I volunteer my time and perform my various functions. I shall leave at the normal time and entrain at Central. I will detrain at my station and collect provisions at Coles supermarket. After I change I will take the dog for a walk.

Can you tell me in my very uneventful day how the "DRACONIAN" laws will impact me?

A (hypothetical) Labor govt gets voted in and is as bad and mean and harsh and unfair and divisive and hate–inciting as the shambles—and you have a phone conversation with a friend or rellie in which you criticise the govt and next morning the police kick your door in at 4.00am. In the meantime your phone has been tapped, mail read, your internet use followed etc etc.

Getting the picture?

Because while you are doing that your phone calls, emails and general whereabouts will be monitored by ASIO.
All thanks to the lies and stupidity of Howard, Bush and Blair.

Are you sure the government agencies are interested in my question to mother: do we need any milk and check if we need another loaf of bread.

I think you have a very fecund imagination.

Did I say that? Or did I say how will the DRACONIAN laws impact my daily routine?

"And the Crown contends, Your Honours of The Masked Chamber so created for your own protection, that the words were used as code to a fellow conspirator, with 'milk' meaning explosive and 'bread' meaning money to be stolen in a raid to finance these terrorists and their fellow cells.

Even under extreme interrogation pressure (sic) Yer 'Onnahs, this accused Salad In - an obvious assertion of Islamic superiority over the West in the use of that name, BTW - refused to give up the names of his fellow members in this cell, such is the tightness of security and binding nature of their allegiance that the members of it employ as weapons against us and our security measures.

The crown requests the death penalty by Damoclean Guillotine, wherein the accused, without trial, is locked in place and the blade set to fall at some random time within the next 24 hours.... this is the penalty we set in place for beheadists, Yer 'Onnahs.. let it be so in this case!"

You don't until we have a chance to peruse the new laws, will they be using an existing model from overseas?  Can you imagine anyone from the LNP tabling anything of the sort, that dead shite Brandis or Tony playing any part in it,  be a total cock up of epic proportions, but i would be asking three basic questions.

1. the broad definition of terrorism;
2. the use of anti-terror laws to stifle legitimate social and political protest;
3. the new prohibitions on the “encouragement”, “other inducement” or “glorification” of
terrorism.

don't be silly, for Abbot the fact that one day rolls into another is an achievement ... I bet he even has to have  help to brush his teeth.

Terror threat shuts down Toowoomba museums

BREAKING: Australia's rising terror threat has forced the closure of the region's two biggest military museums on the eve of Toowoomba's busiest weekend.

The Australian Army Flying Museum in Oakey and the Milne Bay Military Museum will be closed indefinitely until the terrorism threat has eased.

Staff at Milne Bay were given their marching orders this afternoon just minutes before the decision to close Oakey's nation-scale museum was made.

An older cartoon from Moir:

...

Amazing how the cartoonists see Abbott very clearly for the dangerous hate mongering aggressive idiot he is. If only regular journalists saw as clearly and stopped excusing and lying about Abbott and the rest of the shambles!
