Quote:Ghaith Krayem, Secretary of the Islamic Council of Victoria, said he was a “little disappointed” with the police press conference after the incident.
“I think it was a little bit pre-emptive,” he told 3AW radio.
“The police have come out very clearly and almost have said it was the young man’s fault, and I don’t know in the fall of time that may prove to be the case, but I think within a couple of hours I was disappointed.
“I think we need to allow the processes to play out and the facts to be known because the family quite frankly is really struggling.”
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/muslim-leaders-call-for-full-investigation... Pre-emptive in saying it was the young mans' fault? What alternate reality are you living in, Mr Krayem? The officer from the AFP is in hospital with life-threatening injuries, while his Victorian Police colleague was stabbed twice in the arm before killing the 18 year-old. Thankfully and most importantly, both are in a stable condition, suggesting they should survive. I'd say by that point the Police Officer was fairly certain that the young man's intentions were less than peaceful before shooting him!!!

On the contrary, the PM's comments have been measured and reasonable. Senator Lambie is another story.
