...this is a process of Europe getting rid of some Religion which it was oppressed with, now that the New Worlds are producing a more honest 'lived experience' of their own.

The US is independent for the next 10-15 years and then then the difficulties and costs of extraction will be much, much higher. In the process they will have ruined all their ground water and their agriculture will be dying from petrochemical contamination.

So, they will be dependent on their neighbours for water and the Muslims for their oil. Grin
