Neither Abbott nor the LNP confirm or deny Abbott has duel citizenship.

Who's hiding what?

The basic facts are known. There was a time when he held dual citizenship........that occurred before he went to Oxford.  What is not known is whether Abbott ever relinquished that Brit citizenship since his return.

It is being covered up.

I don't know the basic facts, maybe you could establish some.

You can start with as you say the basic facts, ie evidence that he has a dual citizenship and evidence that dual citizenship precludes someone from being PM.

If there was no problem the information sought would have been obtained easily, you have to think that when information is refused there is most likely a reason.

So true!

How many times would you like me to post it?

This is the fourth.

"Any person who ... is under any acknowledgment of allegiance, obedience, or adherence to a foreign power, or is a subject or a citizen or entitled to the rights or privileges of a subject or a citizen of a foreign power ... shall be incapable of being chosen or of sitting as a senator or a member of the House of Representatives."

As many as you like, just proves you are missing a rather fundamental and basic point. No one yet has demonstrated he has dual citizenship, morover, your status as a constitutional lawyer is still to be divined.

As a constitutional lawyer maybe you would like to comment on the federal ownership of dental care?

Ever heard of reserve powers?

I look forward to your pontification on both of those constitutional questions.

Aussie claimed the basic facts are known.  I suggest you conspiracists all get into a huddle and sort what story you are going to run with.

Easy.  Get busy datalife.  Produce the evidence which establishes that Abbott has renounced his British Citizenship....one he acquired by place of birth.  (I assume you acknowledge he was born in the UK.....or do you?)

Better still......ask Abbott to produce that evidence.....or when he refuses............do an FOI.............and let us all know how you go.  I know you will hit a brick wall.

You work it out from those basic facts.

You got nothing then? No link, no reference?   Certainly less than you demand from others.

More deflection.  Nice.

You're not fooling anyone.

Us, royal we.  Very fitting.  Again, no one has demonstrated he has such a thing, not my claim to prove or disprove. Second is the claim at such a precludes him being a PM, again, no one has demonstrated such a thing, not my claim to prove or disprove.

Datalife.  Questions:

1.  Do you agree Abbott was born in the UK and emigrated with his parents (one of whom - his Father was a Pom) to Australia?

2.  Do you agree that to be awarded a Rhodes Scholarship in Australia, one must be an Australian Citizen?

Go.

A I agree,

B.  No idea.  Another thing you can find along with proof that he has dual citizenship as well as proof that possession of dual citizenship precludes you from pm.

Not me making any claims or assumptions.
