I thought that TROLLING was banned around here?

Certain parties seem to keep sniffing my arse like a little doggie every time I post something.  Where else will it turn up?

Anyone who doesn't like having their swear words, particularly those F & C words, converted into something less aggressive, then I suggest there is an easy remedy.

Don't use them!

There are also those using this & other forums who don't like it &/or who "shouldn't" be exposed to that sort of language, irrespective of what you may think!

So, just don't use the swear words!

The best Political Forum I was even on was one that had NO MODERATION, whatsoever.  You could say what you liked. FREE SPEECH.  We MODERATED ourselves.  IF someone wanted to swear, they did,  if the word was unacceptable, the rest of the Members said so. We were all grown ups.

Filtering swear words that we all learned as primary school children, for goodness sakes, just encourages people to create ways to avoid the "filter".

Remember, as children if we weren't allowed to do something, we found a way, anyhow.

Really, what is/was the name of the Forum?
Is it still around or is it now gone?
I have seen some along those lines, like Political Animal and they tend NOT TO SURVIVE!

Hold your breath PN.  Take a seat.  Now.....deep breaths.....

I agree 100% with you!  It demonstrates something when people cannot express themselves on a public forum without obscenity or the use of inane emoticons.

Well how about that Aussie, there are "Rules & Exceptions"!

The very questions and comments I endorse.  I'll just go with this simple request.....

Where, Neferti, might we find proof of this magnificence in self control?  Link please.

Does anyone know why Kung dam you    is on the filter?

I had to separate the F & U to make it work otherwise it turns into

Kung dam you

dam you you is an (incorrect) acronym for bugger you.

It changed after I posted it -

the filter has got stronger.

It is  Kung F  U

It's not about inability. I am quite capable of expressing myself without the F-word. I just prefer expressing myself with it.

I agree with those who dislike the censorship, but I'm afraid it's here to stay.

It never ceases to amaze me that the 2 words that denote something that has given/gives me an extreme amount of pleasure, over a fair amount of my 70 years, is used in such a derogatory manner.

But then, the 'shock effect' quite often reinforces what one is trying to get across.

Arsehole = Rectum

Aussie = Prick!! LOL that was a joke...sorry Aussie!

Or Prick = Aussie  .... Sorry Aussie another joke!

Swearing is a sign of laziness and ignorance. If you remove the swear filter - then half the members will substitute expletives instead of English and the standards here will drop further.

As it is - too many people manipulate the filter.

Well, as I have said previously, everything has limits & there are both "Human & Natural Laws", that ensure those limits!

Justify? I don't need to justify anything, the statement is factually correct!

Everything does have limits & there are both "Human & Natural Laws", that ensure those limits!

Cheers!
