You can't dump people into a country if that was their starting point.

Any noise coming out of Indonesia is for domestic consumption. Jokowi has to cobble together a coalition that will get legislation thru the minefield.

Pull the other one.
Those people smugglers are / were Indonesian nationals working on Indonesian vessels whose last port was in Indonesia.
And those Indonesians and their passengers will continue to go back to where they come from.
Perhaps the Indonesian PM should learn to respect our sovereignty before expecting the same from us.
