Mongrels.......imagine how much more prevalent this will be when the no dole law gets passed.

Is the government making the streets unsafe on pension day for the old and feeble?

Time to hide your valuables and put the bars on the windows.

Yes, I will make this political.

So we have to pay the criminals a ransom so they don't beat up and rob old people?

Wrong again. But then, we've come to expect nothing less.

The unemployed are not criminals, for a start, despite what you may believe.

And the dole is not a 'ransom', it's a pittance and an insult.

Both your statements are offensive and incorrect.

It was your comrade Pansi that made the inference that holding back the dole will result in more pensioners being beat up and robbed Kat old bean.

Paying them the dole so they don't offend is indeed a ransom.

Sad

Whilst the obvious not paying some puts them in a position whereby crime is either a realistic option or not much other choice available to eat....

Now that is criminal as well. Of course, defending that and claiming payments are "ransom" is mind bogglingly inane and bordering on insane, strike that, well beyond insane.

Course it will be more prevalent.  I agree. Politicians forget why their predecessors put in place what they did.

Unfortunately,  with rise of mass immigration, maybe the dole isn't enough.

It's thought his attackers, a man and a woman, first asked Mr Carlino, who had just withdrawn hundreds of dollars from an ATM, if he needed help getting home.

CCTV footage shows them approaching their frail victim from behind before the man punches him to the ground.

The pair then rummage through his pockets and take cash before walking away, leaving Mr Carlino struggling to get to his feet."

We have to pay the unemployed social benefits so they don't get desperate enough to beat up old people for their wallets.

The Police Superintendent overseeing the case said that the assailant could face up to twenty five years gaol for what he did to the Pensioner.

Now the offender has been caught it would be too much to hope for that some brave Judge to can him for 15 or so years.

Have been watching Judge John Deed a British show, would love to see a Deed sitting on the Australian bench..now that would have the wow factor in sentencing.

Actually you're not far off the point, Swag - one of the primary reasons for social security is that it cuts back on crime and so forth.

You well know that the 'cost of crime to the community' is countless billions a year - would it be better to simply pay the bastards off?

It's a pity the old Italian didn't have a Mafia connection ...

"Joey, Fredo!  I wan' you t' make a visit t' dis goiy!  Jus' bus'ness, you unnertstan'.  Break his legs, but do it nice, OK?  I don' wanna upset his feelin's, ya know!"

"Yes, Godfather."

These scumbags aren't stealing to eat they are stealing for drugs, I'm all for handing out free drugs to scum like this, that way they will have no need to go around robbing people plus we can give them the really good uncut sh!t and with a bit of luck they'll OD.
