It's hard to please everyone. Forums are either over-moderated or under-moderated. Very few have a perfect balance.

People tend to leave a forum if it is over-moderated and it quickly becomes a wasteland. On the other hand, they tend to hang around and voice their displeasure if the moderation appears light handed. No win either way.

It wouldn't hurt (and would possibly help) if some degree of information is expressed to the members if and when action is taken against serial pests. Names don't have to be mentioned.

Good post ~ and this flies in the face of Annie's petulant dummy-spit about actions taken against errant members being none of mantra's business.

Of course it's mantra's ~ and everyone else's business ~ how else are lessons learnt better than from second-hand experience?

As I said earlier, I think the smoothest forums are run with anonymous moderators. Having said that, this is not one of them.

Annie, or any other moderator here, is only human and when snipes and insults are persistently hurled her/their way by some members it's only natural that they will at times retaliate.

well this thread suddenly went "berserk" doing a lambie... Roll Eyes

why the hell mantra comes in for a serve I will never know..she is about the mildest on here..

so she sticks up for herself .. since when has that been a crime???....and as for a female moderator bringing in the sex divide what on earth does that have to do with anything...the females on here dont have any body measurements to brag about.. and most females dont give a stuff about anyones sexuality...or how many beers than consume...so I dont get that bit at all..

mantra you are ok...you just say how you feel...and whats wrong with that I will never know..

this is about "CONSTANT"

the same thing over and over again...unkind as a rule and uncalled for...

its isnt fun when you are at the end of "CONSTANT".......it isnt fun at all..

we come on here to chat have a bit of fun maybe..learn a bit about life...

and some arsehole makes it hell .. they are STALKERS... because no matter where you go they are there like a bad smell..

to what purpose we never find out.........

AA says its no one business what the mods do..

yet we get sent a great list of RULES.....and we watch as several people disobey every rule in the book...and not a thing gets done about it..

if a mod thinks.. a couple of days holiday fixes it..

and as for threatening to lock the thread...thats why there are so many...

a new one will appear... and thats should tell the mods..
