Mr Ross, I am under no illusion about how Herbert operates. I dubbed him Walter Mitty for very justifiable reasons. The bloke simply manufactures a past and then attempts to feed off it. He is also pretty much a dirty old man with his eternal sexual innuendos....'smelling like fish' being his latest. But, the bloke has a place, yet he seems totally oblivious to what he is up to. You reckon he is deliberate? Well, I suppose that could be true. He got away with it at Debate & Relate because he had obviously curried favour with the Management there (especially with the American bloke and his Australian Bride...the names escape me,) and he was allowed free reign. When someone like me strolled into that place and saw/experienced the obvious manipulation of Membership (some stupid scary Mod......Doolan....?? was always going to come along and do the dirty ban work as though he was not actually the Management) and naked bigotry, I was never going to last, and I didn't.
The outcome is self evidence of how dumb that Management was. The Forum (as it was) is gone, it deserved that outcome, and Walter, Elde Fruit, you made a not insubstantial contribution to its demise.
The GMs here need to keep all that in mind.

What I find particularly amusing is that Herbie fled when it came under my management and I actually imposed what he claims to crave here - moderation. He knows that real moderation is death to his antics and that is why he avoids it. It is also why he does what he's doing in this thread - first claiming that the moderators are failing and then alternating between antagonism and praising them.
He, like anybody is free to re-register/register at Debate and Relate as long as they abide by the rules as they are laid out.
