The reason she's in the music industry, is to be famous.
She didn't have all these wonderful songs in her head that needed to get out there and, as a result, evolved into a recording artist.
No. That's bullshit.
She wanted to get on stage and be admired, so she started writing (crap) songs.
Attention whore. Nothing more, nothing less. And don't get me wrong, she's good at it.
True artists, like Frank Zappa, create their art first, and then look for a way to get it out to the public.
To use the word 'artist' in the same sentence as Katy Perry is just ludicrous.
