taken 50 people hostage on a Monday Morning in Sydney........is nothing to concern anyone I guess you mean...or at least... carry on business as usual its only a gunman with close association with a terrorist group...unless they should ignore the FLAG which is very prominent as well..??

if they have BOMBS attached as well as guns...

is this still an overreaction?????

I am just asking....about your reaction thats all.

I'm astounded. Jumping to conclusions is such unusual behavior for you, Cods. Where did you get the number 50 from? Or that I wasn't concerned about it? Or that this man s associated with any kind of group. Perhaps you should contact the police - you obviously have a lot more information than anyone else.

on the 3o/c news.. ring them up I am sure they wil be glad to advise if they got it wrong  just for you...

you seem to do your best to advoid the question always turning it nasty.;l.\\
theres good old me being as polite as I could be,..

WHY ARE YOU MORE UNSETTLED  ABOUT THE
RESPONSE...........THAN THE INCIDENT INVOLVING HOSTAGES..

WHETHER ITS 1 HOSTAGE OR 50... DOES THAT REALLY MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I've explained why. See my earlier comment - I am not going to be repeating myself because of your trouble with comprehension.

Crawl back into your hole Ian, you've been watching too many cool talking macho movies ( a particular problem with X coppers believe me)

I actually dont know how people find the time to watch movies and if I did I would watch comedies..Like this forum.

they'll try to talk him out, they've got time, no need to rush, that'll just end up with innocent people dead ... if talking doesn't work then they'll use the snipers.
if his object is to display one of these head chopping stunts which is a strong bet he needs to be stopped asap.

it wont get that far anthrax has already said...

you are all  completely over reacting..

it could be a movie in the making...

or they may have thought the cafe was a bank..

goodness me I am sure if everyone went about their normal day they would get bored and let everyone enjoy their coffee..geeeeees..

Do elaborate.

I was pretty clear.

Some bloke is possibly holding as many as 40 people hostage with a real possibility that their lives are in serious danger. He has caused the biggest city in the country to come to a standstill and left millions of people worried. But to you, the response to this is worse then the act itself.

Would you like to elaborate on what "response" exactly has you so concerned that it is worse than what this insane bastard has done so far?

Read the comment threads on the news story of your choice.

Oh right. I see now. Words on the internet in response to some lune holding dozens of hostages whilst displaying a flag used by Muslim extremist, is far more frightening than some lune holding dozens of hostages whilst displaying a flag used by Muslim extremist.

I hope there isn't too many peaceful Muslims reading these bad words on the internet. We wouldn't want anyone to get their feelings hurt...

I didn't say they were doing anything. I said you were jumping to conclusions without any facts at all and what a change that was from your usual behavior. Even the experts are wary of doing that, but not you - you know everything.

Australian hostages at LOCATION OF A TERRORISM DRILL 1 year ago

Published on Dec 14, 2014
The ongoing Sydney "Lindt Chocolate Cafe" hostage terrorism event.... which is happening at the base of the Reserve Bank of Australia Headquarters.... (thanks to Lissa Weckert for sharing!)

HAD A FULL TERRORISM DRILL AT THE SAME LOCATION 1 YEAR AGO. May 1, 2013. (sorry for the all caps but it really needs emphasis).

Well, now we know what the verdict is on "staged" vs. "real":

http://www.news.com.au/national/austr...

"STUNNED onlookers couldn’t believe their eyes as an army counter terrorism operation in Martin Place unfolded before them in the early hours of the morning.

Why would you even dignify Sprint's posts with a response?
