Precisely my thoughts, too. Hanging a flag up indicates that it's ideologically motivated. Classic amateur attack.

A couple of young idiots who will hopefully pee their pants and come running out of the shop, hands raised, sooner rather than later.

I hope so. Because the alternative is those young idiots decide they're f*ed anyway and a bloodbath ensues. If it does come to that, I hope it's only their swine blood that gets spilled.

gst free on the net...lol. has any IMAM come out I havent seen one.. sometimes they can talk people round cant they???? Shocked.. well sort of...it would be nice if they too were putting their lives on the line other than our police force. and of course the hostages..

Hey, that's a good idea. In an earlier post, someone said the muslim community leaders were holding an emergency web conference to see if they could help. Maybe a calmer head can help these kids work out the right thing to do.

They've been in there two and half hours now. You'd think if their reason was to kill people they would have done it by now.

The whole point of creating incident like this is because these people want to create division within our society through ways of fear, and so that we also become as intolerant as they are.

If today, we use this incident to further divide between our pitiful differences, then they have won already.

Instead, we should unite together through courage.

Nice, but I hope this does educate the public a little more clearly as to the inadvisability of inviting people of an antithetical religious view to come colonise our Australian homeland.

If this incident serves to harden the resolve of those opposed to Muslim immigration, then at least it will have served some good purpose.

I'm waiting to hear what Leftwing media, pet Muslim Waleed Aly is going to tell us about this, and if he will mention the 'I' word and the 'M' word during his lecturing us on how this is all our fault.

Hopefully, there is no bomb.  If there is, then, he may be just waiting for all the media to set up shops, and then.....   Which is why he is not talking to negotiators, because there is nothing to negotiate.

Sad

Abbott's jumped on the bandwagon convening a meeting of the National Security Committee in Cabinet, and telling us that he had convened it.  Duh.  I feel much better knowing of that.

What a Godsend this is for Abbott and Hockey, taking the national focus away from what will be a disastrous budget update due shortly after noon.

wow... you really don't give a crap about anyone at any time, do you.

Im sticking with the sociopath diagnosis.

He's balding and middle aged, from what I saw.

I'm guessing mentally ill and acting alone. It just looks weird. He looks agitated, he has the wrong flag and his backpack looks ridiculous for some reason.
