Your dinners always look disgusting with lots of grease (look at those disgusting “noodles!”) Can’t you try less greasy food (look at the hash browns of a few days ago, glistening with grease) for once and try to present the food a bit more enticingly?

How did you cook the sparrows guts?

Monk - you know nothing about cooking.
The noodles were steamed through but then placed in same fry pan
that the pepper steak was cooked in.
That steak was cooked in a small amount of olive oil
in the fry pan so the noodles fried up in the olive oil and
all the tasty pan juices and became crispy.

The asparagus was steamed through for 3 minutes.

Olive oil is low cholesterol and it's good for you.

forgiven

And tonight or tomorrow you will present a plate of slop as if it is exciting food.

Get some better crockery!

Learn to cook. Julia Smith has a decent book to help anyone learn all the processes etc.

With decent plates you might be more careful what you put on it.

Bloody hell -
if I have guests for dinner I use my Corelle translucent white plates made in USA.
Just a one off meal for me I use a cheap plate.

If you think you're such a good cook then post some of your dishes.   Roll Eyes

What is food—or slop—served up on?

Monk,
You have ASPD but you don't even realise it when it's pointed out.
Eye fillet steak is not "slop" - it's one of the most expensive and finest foods.

I doubt you can afford food like that.
You probably eat canned dog food that you share with Socks.

Wow, look who really does have ASPD.

Your food that you photograph so lovingly is mostly greasy slop.

I eat very little red meat these days—a health choice based on my age. To make that a bit easier I eat various types of salami—taste but no bulk red meat. In my freezer I have porterhouse, TBone and rump steak besides blade steak.

I have NEVER fed any animal under my control canned food. Only exception is sardines—Socks gets 2 tins of Black and Gold (human grade but cheap) sardines each month—fish oil is good for you.

Try to make more interesting, less greasy food. Put it on nicer plates. You will enjoy the result.

When I got here small goods were crap.

Now the italian–food shop/cafe Alps and Amici in Launceston has a really nice bresaola and a lovely fennel salami—Finocchiona. The prosciutto I bought last visit looked (and was) absolutely beautiful.

Tonight dinner will be brussell sprouts, bacon and maple syrup roasted in the oven.

Make sure you take a photo of it on a high quality plate -
and post it here.
