Had some Japanese food today for dinner.
It was very tasty indeed.

Monk has claimed that he makes culinary masterpieces but we have yet
to see any photographic evidence.

Where did I say that, Booby?

I have said you eat slop that you put on a plate without any attempt at presentation. I have advised you to buy some better crockery.

I also posted a photo of my broadbean risotto with lamb backstrap.

I did invent one dish that is nice in winter.

Bottom layer either pasta or potatoes just not quite cooked completely.

Second layer: spinach or silverbeet wilted in a HOT frypan then foodprocessed to a puree. Nice rasp of a nutmeg on top of this.

Third layer: an egg broken into a slight depression made in the spinach.

Fourth layer—grated cheese.

Bung into a medium oven and cook until the cheese is bubbling.

Not a bad dish for winter, includes a leafy green veg good against dementia as we get a day older. No meat.

I am going to make this in some ramekins I have—eat one, freeze the others.

I did one last night that exceeded all expectations.

I was alone for dinner and tired as fck. Got some cubed rump steak, preheated the airfryer to highest temp, threw the meat in and it seared perfectly, gave it 5 mins.

Threw some carrot, zucchini, mushrooms, tomato in for another 5 mins on 200deg and it came out perfectly cooked.

Had it with a dipping sauce of Gochujang and sriracha.

I had a Seychelles dish last night. Octopus with the curry being so sublime that it gave me that nice gland tickle high.
Compliments of a female friend who is a Chef.

I feel spoiled.
