Another big day of exercise, 2km swim and about 8km walking on just 200cal up to 6pm so I put the feed bag on hard.

Small piece of steak (all I had defrosted) 2 fried (no fat) eggs, some fried halloumi and nearly a whole avocado with a huge bowl of broccoli.

Missus is prepping for a colonoscopy tomorrow.
So it was just some left over home made pea and ham soup for me tonight.

She won't feel so good tomorrow night either, anaesthetic don't agree with her.
But Tuesday night we are heading out for a nice meal at some nice restaurant.

That awful stuff they make you drink by the "gallon" is the pits. She'll be OK and as hungry as a horse afterwards.  Grin

I bought Yoplait passionfruit yoghurt about 2 weeks ago. I forgot to open it, as I was so caught up in finishing up my apple pie and ice cream as my choice of dessert. But, it has come to a time when I have to consume the yoghurt or throw it out.

The chicken meat pie I have in the freezer might be coming to an end in terms of expiry. It will be a hot meal of crumbed fish and vegetables before I go out grocery shopping.

Dinner ended up being KFC I bought after my grocery shop. And, oh boy, that was some good eatin'. I had not KFC for about 2 months. And that was long enough to have forgotten the taste.

Poor little dear got home last night, not well at all.
Anaesthetic and her are not friends.
She had a small meal last night, enough to settle the hunger pains and I thought it might return, but it was ok.

Had planned to take her out to dinner tonight.
But she still isn't 100%
And we are off to look after her invalid mother tomorrow.

I might end up with 2 invalid on my hands.

She will be right in a few days

I have no problem with these things
After I get out of surgery I throw up and from there on its all good.

I haven't actually thought about tonight's dinner yet.

Got a pork chop in the fridge, though, so might do something like this (see pic)
which is what I had one night last week.

Been eating like a horse since I got out of hospital, and have regained almost all
the weight I lost while I was ill. Smiley

IMO, the biggest problem with that meal is combining high fat with low fibre carbs.

If you're going to have a high-fat meal, match it with something like sweet potato or pulses and fresh veg.

Last night was lamb chops on the bbq.
They were rather fatty but I've been VLC for 3 days so no probs.

I'm also moving to the belief that high fat isn't a problem provided you're within your calorie budget, and avoid empty carbs and sugar.

vegetables should outweigh the meat thats for sure.

I've increased my meat intake but totally dropped wheat, rice and sugar. I'm also not paranoid about fat.

I'll get some bloodwork done soon to see what that's done, but I'm feeling really good.
