Needless to say the age of consent does not allow for aging males to sleep with young girls. It only applies to young lads no more than about 5 years older than the girls.

No actually it does NOT say anything like that....A 70 year old man can actually sleep with a 16 or 17 year old girl...providing SHE actually agrees....in England, New York and Australia.

The 'no more than 2 or 5 years' older thing applies to girls UNDER the 'age of consent'...basically, a 16 year old guy can shag a 15 yr old and it doesn't count as illegal...
