lol you dumb front bottom.

Did you know mens and womens finals are held on different sessions?

Of course if you're just there for the sake of being somewhere, (like 90% of front bottoms at any event in Perth) as opposed to a genuine interest in the event, the heats are just as good.

Indeed.

Which is exactly why I said, back in post number 70: "Apart from finals, you purchase a ticket to see the day's play."

I've been going to tennis longer than you've been alive, Honky.

(I trained at Arthur Marshall's Academy, and you wouldn't even know who he was)

ah, so you did.

The question then is, who cares about heats?

A: The usual crowd of Perth buggerwits desperately trying to find something different and/or mildly exclusive to do, regardless of what it is.

I prefer the heats.

I often don't attend the finals (if it's particularly hot, for example).

Some finals I've been to have been simply spectacular, but I've seen some matches just as good during the early sessions.

And yes, I agree with you about Perth people.

Don't get me started about the morons sitting next to me in the front row of Bruce Springsteen who didn't look at the stage once.

And yet, you still think a nerfed version is "more entertaining." Hmm.

I get offered tickets to which ever tournament they play in Sydney each year.  International?

I haven't taken up the offer yet though.

Actually, I've never been to a match in Sydney   Sad

Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide all the time.  Never seen one in my home town though.

Hmmm.

I couldn't imagine how bad it would be to sit at a tennis match listening to two women grunt like wild pigs for a couple of hours...   Cheesy

Then again, I suppose I'm a bit of a pervert.

I am not sure what your problem is herb.. they look extremely happy.... and the pics are beautiful... her children look happy as well.. isnt that really all we need from life??...making someone else happy...being content...

I dont have a problem with that at all..good luck Martina

Well said, cods.

Very well said.

Two people in love, doing what makes them happy, and not  hurting anyone in the process.

I think that "One of Life's big mysteries" is why anyone would be opposed to other people being happy.

What a Tool!

Two people in love?..what about the children?
How dare you think about nothing more than the two original humans?

There is a man(?)(28) living around by us who was brought up by two lesbians who is so obviously missing a male dominating figure in his life...he chats up women with as much enthusiasm as the rest of us, but the poor fella has no friggin idea how a male should act, he's never been taught. You can see him on given night shooting his lines off but alas he will remain a bachelor forever, simply because he has no idea of how to behave..So much for your stupid social experiments at the expense of potential human beings...you're no better than the Nazi's...You Tool!

Ahhh I get it now.  It's the same reason I find the "joke" auditions of talent shows infintely more amusing than those of the serious contestants.   Wink

i guess ratings are ratings no matter what drives them.

How about a female opinion of what is more palatable? Men who watch women's tennis in the hope of getting a boner or men who avoid watching because the standard is nowhere near that of the men's?
Of course a feminist answer would be neither, because she hates all men equally.
