's religion by constantly publishing very offensive insulting cartoons about their prophet.

If that were to happen, you would have to mention in the eulogy that they were silly to keep it up after being warned to stop.

Pansi, if Muslims warned you not to come out at night without your burqa on and a male escort, and you defied them and got raped, would you then apologise for offending them with your (lack of) clothes and accept the blame for antagonising a delicate situation?

How low would you go to appease terrorists?

What about if Muslims surrounded me in Aldi and said they'll chop my head off if I bought the pork chops in my shopping basket?

Would I apologise for offending them and put the pork chops back on the shelf?

How low would I go to appease these terrorists?

What if....what if.....what if......

What if I let Muslims be Muslims and mind my own business.

the question surely must be pansi..

when is fd going to stop turning a blind eye to the personal abuse...??

or do you think he is having trouble deciding whos FREEDOM OF SPEECH he is supporting today????? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The problem with that approach is that Islam isn't exactly a 'live and let live' philosophy. It conflicts with many fundamental human rights, such as freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

Hence the question - how low would you go to appease the terrorists?

If Muslims warned you not to come out at night without your burqa on and a male escort, and you defied them and got raped, would you then apologise for offending them with your (lack of) clothes and accept the blame for antagonising a delicate situation?

If you think this is some kind of meaningless rhetorical question, don't kid yourself. It is the reality for many women in the world, and the only reason it is not your reality is because people with principles have stood up for the very human rights you are trying to discard. This is where spineless appeasement leads. It does not end with the cartoons. You have to draw a line somewhere, and I can only hope your willingness to discard freedom of speech comes from the same place as cods ramblings - a complete unwillingness to put any thought into the issue.

A few fanaticals, out of 1.6 million Muslims I'm not a bit worried. About 0.2% are mad, the rest want to live in peace. There's more mad people in my neighbourhood that I would worry about before turning my attention to the so called Islam problem.

It's a simple question Pansi. Are you going to ignore it forever? How low would you stoop to appease terrorists? Would you wait until after you had lost the right to protest to complain about what they are taking from you?

If Muslims warned you not to come out at night without your burqa on and a male escort, and you defied them and got raped, would you then apologise for offending them with your (lack of) clothes and accept the blame for antagonising a delicate situation?

Mohammed — in pictures
The Koran has no injunction against depicting Mohammed. In fact, within Islam, there’s a rich tradition of painting the Prophet

...

...

Confused? I would hope so. For that is the end point of all useful discussions about Islam and the beginning of wisdom.

Didn't you ask this way back and I answered it.

You mustn't have much faith in your own method of attack if you think they'll rape us all for not being chaperoned and not wearing a burqa.

What if China gets here first, those crazy Mussies won't stand a chance against the yellow peril.

No, you did not answer it. It's a common theme with you, cods and all the other apologists - a complete inability to defend your position.

if someone called you and Fn Idiot...you could be offended..

the next guy could fall about laughing....

we are not all the same.. but you have a right to be offended and if you landed one on the guy you could say you were provoked into doing it.. because he called you an Fn Idiot..AND YOU DIDNT LIKE IT...

we are not all the same I think thats great to be honest..

and its time we respected others.. we dont have to like them or love them.. but we should respect their feelings...

I'm not sure yet because terrorists have no impact on my life at the present time, nil, zero, zilch. I would quietly wait and watch before making a decision on that.

Would you wait until after you had lost the right to protest to complain about what they are taking from you?

No, I love my protesting as you well know (shame you don't follow my example in that) then you would be the placard carrying person wailing for your FoS rights. What have they taken from me? The right to publish lewd cartoons of their beloved prophet? That's a right I was never going to utilise.
However, you still have that right if you are prepared to possibly die for it.

That happens in Muslim countries. The raw meat Imam got his comeuppance for that comment and not a word has been mentioned about the sins of the flesh again. They'll try statements like that just to see how far they can get.

That would only happen if my country had such lax security and regulations that allowed Sharia Law to infiltrate and replace our current laws.

Any western government that is working for the good of its people will not allow Sharia Law, not now, not ever.

I am not afraid of Sharia Law at this point in time, there is absolutely nothing to indicate that its a threat. If it ever gets to the point that it becomes a threat then I know my government is working against its people....time to seek asylum in some other land.

That's what happens when people are too scared to mock Islam.

Should we be searching people for Shariah law at the border?

Respect those who will kill you, shouting god is great, for what you writer or draw? No, bugger that. And I don't care what religion or other ideology drives them to murder over words or images.
That they happen to have a set of beliefs about Mohammed is not a limit In any way on others' right to express THEIR views . Being thin skinned murderous bullies is no argument.
They can be as offended as they like. But murdering others will not earn respect, only contempt, mockery, disgust.

Arent you claiming that all Muslims dance to the same tune on these matters? Good way to argue against your own point ,
