I've always thought cartoonists pushed the envelope a bit sometimes but what is the alternative: say nothing about the elephants and still pretend we are participating in something called democracy?

there are lots of things which cant be published legally in western countries, i dont know where you people get the absurd idea that western countries have freedom of speech. We dont, its just the things which arent allowed to be published differ. This is not about freedom of speech, its about whether you think it is right to be deliberatley offensive to another religion for no other reason than you can. Im fairly sure I can live my life without the need to publically draw caricatures of Mohammed. What about you?

I like the idea. Getting upset when somebody draws something that doesn't exist is a form of insanity. The western world held over a barrel by nutjobs is an insult.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news/./ but yes it is working...there are many cells all over the world and they get in touch with their blackberrys like us they are very modern..... and they dont care who or how they kill..

thats the difference between them and us.. we have a conscience and we have LAWS that most try to follow..

they dont bother with that bullsh!t... its us or them.. finish..

they watch us and laugh at us.. they way we elect our leaders then fight each other usually with quite a lot of hate and even on here some wish one party or another to die..its bizarre but thats what we do...most countries are divided...we just dont kill each other... yet.

now a cartoon has caused 20 deaths for what good I will never know.. and some seem to think what we need is more cartoons.. Roll Eyes

I really try to show respect to people no matter what kind of groups they belong to. But I cannot show respect under the presser. It sounds like "show me respect or I will kill you".

No one sent personal email with cartoons to them. If they do not like cartoons they can include this publisher into personal black list. No big deal.

You do not visit websites you don not like, do you? Do not you think that "show me respect" is just a pretext to express one's self-conceit which has nothing to do with real insult?
