Old boy - that Labia spelling. Naughty naughty.

Always absolutely never ever, remember.

Thanks, now corrected.

Basically Soren, if you dismiss the scholarship - as you seem to want to do here - then I'm afraid you have pledged yourself firmly into the "islam nuffin to do wiv nuffin' camp. How ironic eh? Otherwise, if you insist its all down to islam, then you either concede that terrorists don't follow islam, or you be a hypocrite and cite only one side of the story - like all the hypocrites here.

The scholarship is entirely about the interpretation of the Koran, treated as the final, unalterable revelation of an unknowable god.

How can you have a revelation about something that is "unknowable"?   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

Excellent point. Yet that's what Muslims believe.

It's also what the Christians claim about their God.

Yet you only ever point out the contradictions in Islam Soren.  I wonder why?   Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy

because it suits their argument....

they forget its all about interpretation..doesnt matter what book you read it was supposedly written many moons ago...in a language no one understands now...

oh thats right.. the experts think they do..

we all interpret as it suits us to live our lives....

I dont go to church unless I have too but I still consider myself a good person and living life  to the best of my ability without hurting anyone else...

in the mean time I see so many contradictions of what was written in a time that no one in this world can possibly imagine.....

if we read a book written even 50 years ago...about the times then.. even if we lived them we find it hard to believe thats how it was thats how the rules/laws were in those times...

even the interpretations of the good books....has changed from those of 50 years ago.. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

we never even knew about Islam 50 years ago....now its all some talk about.

Ignorant nonsense (like all your other posts and like Mohammed).  Both Judaism and Christianity operate on the basis of religion being a CONVERSATION between man and god.

Mohammed, in his usual utter misunderstanding of everything he came across (being a semi-literate Arab merchant of no intellect, no sensibility, no learning, no understanding -   made God inaccessible to man. Good if you want submissive cut-throats to follow your orders unquestioningly, utterly stupid if you want to improve all mankind.

That's an interesting point.  Differing interpretations.  Attitudes change, beliefs change to match.  No wonder we have so many differing interpretations of religion!   Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy

Seems to be an awfully large number of sites claiming to know the unknowable about Christianity...   Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin

Some people have been put on this Earth for the sole purpose of embodying a type rather than be regarded as particular individuals. In HB's case that type is the insufferable clown who demands the right to act like a dog but spends his whole life barking at others for not being such cynics, so dog-like. Such a type, such a dog, needs to be kicked. That is his role - to generate strong enough feeling to kick him. Not with boots, of course, but with derision.

I am not sure what the deleted post said but this was it's gist.  This is the gist of every response to HB, by me and by all other conscious and verbal persons.

Call it Hotbreathphobia if you must (and wish to appear modern and up to date) but in reality it is one of the Eleusinian mysteries that opens the window onto an eternal human condition.i

No, old boy, it’s the gist of every one of your responses to everybody. It’s post # 1: stupid and mendacious. It’s your right to be offended post.

Remember, every day in every way you’re getting better and better.Just keep.to the formula and you’ll.be fine.

Mais non.

Only to the deserving.  Unlike you and your comrade numpties, I am able to discern différance and so discriminate.
