Are you implying from your last post that we should ban islam and/or condemn it as a cult? Do you agree with Adamant's sentiment that we should adopt the Saudi approach? Have you considered if that would actually be useful in a practical sense, or does it just make you feel better? Here is a modest proposal- grab the 'vast majority' of peaceful Muslims by the balls and squeeze until they deal with the 'tiny minority' in their midsts. The 'vast majority' has been lying doggo for way too long. They know who the miscreants are, they know what the wrong teachings are, they know what the networks are, where the money and suppoort comes from. Whaddaya reckon? Hail or deport anyone who doesn't dob in the fundamentalists. You decide, 'vast majority' - do you want a peaceful and prosperous life or do you want to go to jail or back to the old hell hole? The 'vast majority' has been getting away with playing both sides of the street for way, WAY too long. I bet anything that you personally know radical Muslims, Gandy, and know people who also know other radical Muslims. You know who the rotters are in your circle. Good solution S - handball all the responsibility over to someone else. You wouldn't dream of accepting any responsibility for your own society would you? Issuing fatwas and pretending that your job is done is laughable. . A group of imams issued a 600 page fatwah?? Big deal. The Kauchi brothers, Monis, the London beheaders, the Canadian stabbers and shooters, the NYC shooter didn't get the tweet about the fatwah. Other sheiks and imams issue other fatwahs encouraging jihad - they all got those. Perhaps because they read what they want to read? So, how do you think Muslim authorities should react? Storm the strongholds of the radicals? Hold inquisitorial questioning sessions? Torture them to make them recant their beliefs? Soren, you're talking about Christian methods, not Islamic ones. Islam, like Judaism relies on precedence and judgement, so obviously before they can declare the extremists as bad Muslims they must prove they are bad Muslims first and foremost by providing their reasoning!
