Muslims murder 2,000 people
Jan 10th, 2015 at 9:08pm

When will the murderous Muslims stop?

Boko Haram's 'deadliest massacre': 2,000 feared dead in Nigeria

Amnesty International calls the killings ‘a disturbing and bloody escalation’ and a local defence group says its fighters have given up trying to count the bodies.

Hundreds of bodies – too many to count – remain strewn in the bush in Nigeria from an Islamic extremist attack that Amnesty International described as the “deadliest massacre” in the history of Boko Haram.

Fighting continued on Friday around Baga, a town on the border with Chad where insurgents seized a key military base on 3 January and attacked again on Wednesday.

“Security forces have responded rapidly, and have deployed significant military assets and conducted air strikes against militant targets,” said a government spokesman.

District head Baba Abba Hassan said most victims are children, women and elderly people who could not run fast enough when insurgents drove into Baga, firing rocket-propelled grenades and assault rifles on town residents.

Hi Sir Nail,
Strange that when 12 people are killed in France - it's big news but

when 2,000 are slaughtered in Nigeria it hardly rates a mention on the news or a comment here.

Boko Haram amps up attacks on Nigerian villages 01:12
Story highlights

Deaths number in the hundreds, one official says; another says it is 2,000
After the attack, Boko Haram also razed homes

Kano, Nigeria (CNN)Boko Haram militants opened fire on northern Nigerian villages, leaving bodies scattered everywhere and as many as 2,000 people feared dead, officials said.

"The attack on Baga and surrounding towns looks as if it could be Boko Haram's deadliest act," Amnesty International said in a statement.

Islamist militants sprayed bullets as they stormed in last weekend in trucks and armored vehicles, local authorities said Friday.

When they arrived, they unloaded motorcycles and pursued residents who fled into the bush, firing indiscriminately, said Baba Abba Hassan, a local district head.

Local officials reported death tolls ranging from hundreds to as many as 2,000 people.

"Dead bodies litter the bushes in the area and it is still no‎t safe to go and pick them (up) for burial," said Musa Bukar, the chairman of the local government where Baga is located.

"Some people who hid in their homes were burned alive."

Raid lasted for days

During the raid that started January 3, hundreds of gunmen seized the town of Baga and neighboring villages, as well as a multinational military base.

Attacks started at dawn and continued throughout last weekend, according to residents.

Though local officials gave conflicting death tolls, they agreed on the massive number of fatalities.

More than 2,000 people were killed in attacks on 16 villages, Bukar said. He could not explain how he arrived at that toll.

But the local district head said hundreds of people had been killed, not thousands. The actual toll will be known after a headcount of households is complete, Hassan said.

An offensive is underway to reclaim the areas from the militants, according to Mike Omeri, a government spokesman.

Just to balance this thread.

Christians murder 6,000  people.

Quote:
Christian militias in Central African Republic have carried out ethnic cleansing of the Muslim population during the country's ongoing civil war, but there is no proof there was genocidal intent, a United Nations commission of inquiry has said.

"Thousands of people died as a result of the conflict. Human rights violations and abuses were committed by all parties. The Seleka coalition and the anti-balaka are also responsible for war crimes and crimes against humanity," the inquiry said on Thursday.

"Although the commission cannot conclude that there was genocide, ethnic cleansing of the Muslim population by the anti-balaka constitutes a crime against humanity," the report said.

The final report of the inquiry, which was submitted to the UN Security Council on December 19, said up to 6,000 people had been killed though it "considers that such estimates fail to capture the full magnitude of the killings that occurred".

The mostly Christian or animist "anti-balaka" militia took up arms in 2013 in response to months of looting and killing by mostly Muslim Seleka rebels who had toppled President Francois Bozize and seized power in March the same year.

The UN Security Council established the commission of inquiry in December 2013.

Muslims strapping bombs to children:

Bomb strapped to girl 'about 10 years old' kills 19 in Maiduguri, north-eastern Nigeria: Red Cross, vigilante

At least 19 people were killed when a young girl, thought to be aged about 10, blew herself up at a crowded market in the northeast Nigerian city of Maiduguri, police say.

The powerful explosion rocked the market at about 12:40pm (local time) when it was packed with shoppers and traders.

Borno State police spokesman Gideon Jubrin told reporters: "Casualty figure: 20 dead and 18 injured, including the female suicide bomber that detonated the improvised explosive device."

The same market was hit twice by female suicide bombers late last year.

Borno State police said 18 people had been injured in the latest attack.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but Boko Haram militants have increasingly used women and young girls as human bombs in their six-year quest for a hardline Islamic state.

Civilian vigilante Ashiru Mustapha said the explosives detonated as the girl was being searched at the entrance to the market.

"The girl was about 10 years old and I doubt much if she actually knew what was strapped to her body," he told AFP news agency.

"In fact, she was searched at the entrance of the market and the metal detector indicated that she was carrying something.

"But sadly, the explosion went off before she was isolated, killing at least 10 people and injuring many others."

The market was cordoned off as health officials began the grim task of sifting through the wreckage and collecting body parts.

A Red Cross official, who declined to give his name, said 10 bodies had been taken to the mortuary at the Borno State Specialist Hospital.

"Many people sustained life-threatening injuries," he said.

An attack at the market on December 1 killed more than 10 people, and the previous week more than 45 people lost their lives in an attack there.

Boko Haram launched its first female suicide attack in June last year in the northern state of Gombe and there have been a spate of bombings since, including four in a week in the city of Kano.

In July, a 10-year-old girl was found in Katsina state wearing a suicide vest, prompting speculation that young girls were being forced into becoming human bombs rather than through ideological motivation.

Is it time to ban religion?

There is a big difference between killing in the name of religion, and a religious person killing for a purpose.

Had that Muslim cop in Paris shot the terrorist last week before they could kill him, it would have been a Muslim killing people for a purpose, but it would not be killing in the name of a religion. Yes the person killing is religious, but their religion is completely irrelevant. It is just a cop doing his job.

Read the highlighted part. It wasn't just Christians involved, and the killing happened in retaliation to previous attacks. The retaliations were also many small attacks over a period of time, not just one big slaughter. Their religion is irrelevant to the actions. It was self preservation by a mixture of religions coming under attack by Muslims over a long period of time, and especially over the last couple of years.

You idiot bobby. Learn to read an entire post before commenting. Here is the next part that you ignored;

Starve them of tax payers money and make religious institutions pay tax on their takings.
