As the image said, millions around the world march to condemn Israel, but remained silent and don't condemn violence in Islam names. there are a few small exceptions of cause, but the reality is these radical beliefs aren’t held by only a fringe minority of Muslims.
A Pew Research survey (British Muslim youth: radicalisation, terrorism and the construction of the “other”) in Muslim countries suggests that, “Overall, the figures in the 2012 survey suggest that a minimum of about 46% of Muslims in the countries surveyed, approve death penalty for Muslims who commit apostasy,
Accordance with the teachings of Islam, 61% of British Muslims think homosexuality should be illegal (over 70% among young Muslims) and 51% of British Muslims think apostates, people who renounce Islam, should be killed.
It should then come at no surprise then, that in islamic countries apostasy is punishable by death, it also shouldn't come as a surprise that Freedom of religion and free speech is also ban and punishable by death.. yet somehow we are meant to respect and accept this culture? How can we?
According to the USA today article ( http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2015/01/07/islam-allah-muslims-shariah-anjem-choudary-editorials-debates/21417461/) Islam does not mean peace but rather means submission to the commands of Allah alone. Therefore, Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression, as their speech and actions are determined by divine revelation and not based on people’s desires
So i say it again..How can "WE" a culture that respects freedom of speech and religion peacefully coexist with a culture that not only doesn't recognise freedom of speech and religion but demands from the very holy book itself Islamic law like kafir, people who don’t believe in the God of Islam, to be enslaved and murdered, unless of course they convert to Islam.
reality is Islam is not a religion whose teachings are compatible with human liberty.
