Germans against racism, xenophobia, islamophobia
Jan 12th, 2015 at 10:54am

Huge rallies in Germany opposing the recent nazi and racist rallies.

http://rt.com/news/221463-germany-dresden-rally-racism/

Quote:
Around 35,000 attended a rally against racism and xenophobia in the German city of Dresden, joining hundreds of thousands, who took to the street in France in response to this week’s Charlie Hebdo attack and hostage crises caused by Islamic radicals.

"We won't permit hate to divide us," Helma Orosz, Dresden's mayor, told the crowd as cited by Reuters.

The demonstrators carried banners, reading “We are Charlie,” “No to racism,” “We all laugh in the same language” and "Germany is for all."

The gathering, jointly organized by the Dresden administration and the government of Saxony, was also a response to a series of anti-immigrant rallies, which recently took place in the city.

"I'm not here because I'm against people who go to PEGIDA [marches]," Orosz said as cited by Deutsche Welle, "but because I don't fear people with a different skin color, customs or ways.”

"We stand here not in protest or opposition but for all Dresden, for Saxony and for everyone who lives here," she added. "Regardless of whether you're Christian, Jewish, Hindu or Muslim - we will not be separated by hate."

It is perfectly reasonable to reject these three perceptions, yet still want the Muslim community held responsible for the murderers they harbour and call martyrs.

DEMOCRACY AND RACISM EXPLAINED
A Muslim immigrant kid in any part of Australia asks his mother,
"Mama, what's the difference between Democracy and Racism?"
Mother (in Burkha)  - "Well, son, Democracy is when Australian tax payers
work hard every day so that we can get all our benefits..... you know,
like free housing, free health care, free education and grants to build mosques
and community centres, & so on & so forth, you know… that's a Democracy".
"But Mama, don't the Australian tax payers get angry about that?"
"Sure they do…. that's what we call Racism!"

Making jokes?? How very dare you??   A sense of humour is very intolerant. Only bigots have a sense of humour and laugh at sacred cows.

Sacred cows must be respected at all times, otherwise there'll be trouble.

What next? Cartoon??!!?

SO no overt Muslims at these brotherhood rallies, then?

How very unsurprising.

Freud would have a field day with the germans.
my own feeling is that the left have lost this one and we are going to see a re evangelisation by the hard right Christians in Europe.
its interesting that the muslim extremists and the hard right neo-nazis and Christian fundamentalists are the winners in this latest round of violence.
the people holding the placards featuring motherhood statements simply don't "get it"

the general population don't share their odd thinking patterns . as time goes on, and with more inevitable attacks, the situation will snowball.
this is the nature of human nature and all wars are holy wars.  the crowd at "get-up" seem to have skipped history class at school

Remember how many Brits supported Hitler and then Stalin, and how many Yanks fought and argued for isolation before the truth came home and WW II hit them like a sledgehammer.

Many of the same went  on to great careers in WWII......... just saying how things change when you suddenly find your self under attack.
