And wasn't the leasing of Newcastle Port (yet ANOTHER bad deal when extrapolated out over the life of the contract) for infrastructure?
That sale happened last year, what projects have been announced?

The Government has announced that $340 million of proceeds from the long-term lease of the Port of Newcastle will be invested in the revitalisation of the Newcastle CBD, including the construction of a light rail line. This is in addition to the $120 million already committed to this important and much-needed urban renewal program

Quote:
Proceeds of more than $1.5 billion from the Port of Newcastle lease will be invested in the State’s infrastructure fund, Restart NSW with 30 per cent of proceeds dedicated to projects in regional areas.

Regional projects
There are five Restart NSW programs targeting regional development:

Resources for Regions - $160 million for mining-affected areas
Bridges for the Bush - $135 million for regional bridges
Illawarra Infrastructure Fund - $100 million for the Illawarra region for economic development
Water Security for Regions - $366 million to help communities prepare for future drought conditions
Cobbora Transition Fund - $20 million for areas affected by the Cobbora coal mine

In addition to these programs, the Restart NSW Fund has provided $28 million towards the Bells Line of Road Corridor Improvement Program.

Funding for the following Restart commitments will start in 2013-14:

$1.8 billion towards the cost of delivering the WestConnex motorway scheme, the highest priority infrastructure project identified in the State Infrastructure Strategy
$403 million for the Pacific Highway upgrade
$170 million for the Princes Highway upgrade
$135 million for the Bridges for the Bush program
$100 million for the Illawarra region
$60 million for the costs of revitalising the Newcastle CBD
$10 million for ongoing motorway planning for the F3 to M2 connection and the Government has also reserved up to $400 million to this connection subject to a successful proposal.
Additional regional programs include $40 million reserved for water supply and drought priority projects, $28 million for the Bells Line of Road improvement program and up to $7 million for regional projects under the Regional Development Australia Fund.
Of the $3 billion committed by Government from Restart NSW so far, 30 per cent has been allocated to regional projects.

Isn't this list very similar to the new spending announced to be paid from the power fire sale ?
