You blokes need to get over it. Labor won by a country mile, the Libs are dead in the water in Vic. As a matter of interest though, please tell me what infrastructure projects the Libs in Vic started, that Labor is claiming kudos for?

If anything it was the other way around, when the Libs got in, a lot of major projects started by Labor years before were nearing completion. Mr Ballieu and his cronies were at the flag unveilings claiming the credit.

As for the Desal Plant, the Libs also promised to build one if elected in one of the 2000 decade elections, Myki - sure - a dogs breakfast but now running successfully.

The people of Victoria DONT WANT the Liberals in power, they stuff everything they plan and all that happens is state based taxes GO UP to make up the shortfall. That is why the LIB/Nats existing MPS are driving around in a mini.

along with all their rail projects they've got massive road projects going all over the state.. replicating highways all the way from Melbourne, to Geelong, to Winchelsea and Heading to Colac...

also new over taking lanes all over the state... big projects heading out towards Hamilton/Horsham with also rail upgrades...

Napthine built a $10 million loop and refuse to put more services on it, and you're claiming that he was a successful public transport and railway premier?

Liberals don't believe in rail. Just ask tony whether he thinks there are enough people wishing to go from the same point a to the same point b in order to justify public rail.

And you know their other major rail projects? Removing 5 boom gates in safe liberal seats, which weren't even in the top 50 most dangerous boom gates in melbourne.

Liberals only believe in sticking this state up with billion dollar toll roads we would've spent the next 56 years paying for. And the end result would've been increased traffic in the city, and destruction of royal park.

This is rediculous for blaming labour, and so call doing math.

Just in case you missed everything, the ALP took the Liberals on this issue, and went to an ELECTION. And the public voted and voiced their opinion.

Now despite the fact that the Liberals know that they probably would not win the election, they still went ahead and put that rediculous exit clause that is going to cost the tax payers dearly RIGHT before the election! Now, this is dirty politics, as it is stupid politics. One designed to 'scare' the public into voting for the road project.

If any thing, this waste of money is Liberal's fault. And I hope some investigative journalist gets hold of the people who would be benefitting from this compensation. And see how many of their 'mates' have their fingers in the honey pot.
