Yep. What they were doing was against Halal certification, i.e unrelated to halal procedure. We have seen instance of cruelty in abattoirs all round the world. Its not a strictly islamic problem.

Again if the halal is done in conjunction with stunning, its no more cruel than any of the procedures we use. If its not, then we should stop imports. But again this is irrelevant because the article is referring to practices which are not halal procedure, with photos of characters (at least one of whom isnt bearded)
