Just smell the fear from the desperate conservative supporters desperately trying to cover for their failed substandard government.

Nowhere does it say it's Labor's debt.

Labor (and the Greens had their hand in the cookie jar too) are responsible for it but it's the tax-payer's debt.

It's the tax-payer that has to pay it back with higher taxation.

Therefore Labor & the Greens' debt is a defacto tax increase on all tax-payers.

As it's the minority that pay the majority of taxes.  The majority don't really give a stuff.  That's our inefficient ochlocracy for you.

Labor & the Greens just have to pander to the ochlocracy who vote themselves other people's money from the public trough.

allow the government of the day to clean up the colossal mess left behind by the criminally incompetent Wayne Swan - the worst Treasurer this country has ever been forced to endure!!!

Swan looks like a genius next to the guy that someone refers to as the Smoking Hog, Swan has a record that many treasurers would be proud of including an ex PM when treasurer.

I would agree that Swan was never in the class of Keating or Costello but then again we now have Hockey who isn't in the same grade as Swan.

Hockey's main problem is that there is no economic assistance for him in the Liberals either, He is teamed with Abbott - an economic joke that just isn't funny.

Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey are to economics about the equivalent as what Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy would have been to brain surgery.

Yep, they are cleaning it up with a $40.4 BILLION DEFICIT this year Grin Grin Grin

Well done Idiot tony and the smokin hog.

How big was the deficit when they took over? How big was the debt? How many savings measures has Labor blocked? They're even blocking savings measures they advocated prior to the election! That's irresponsible in the extreme - Labor in a nutshell, really.

No Howard was a tight arse who got us into trouble the opposite way.

Swan cut back significantly in every budget except for the stimulus period.

And yet the Liberals just keep on spending like its Christmas.

Lieberals - Doubling the budget deficit in a bit over 12 months without trying.

Their only savings plan is to take money out of education, hospitals and from the poor.

Their only strategy involves breaking virtually all of their election promises.

Maybe they are primarily only the victims of their own dishonest term in opposition when they made all these promises that blind Freddy knew they couldn't keep.

Hey But AP, LW, Macca and co all supported all of their lies and told us about good economic management.

Tony Told us that savings from waste would pay for it all, instead we see more waste than ever.

That was Howard & Costello. Spent $350Bn of boom time revenue 2001-7 and none of that is left bar a bit in the Fatuous Fund:

1. No major infrastructure was built to reduce bottlenecks in the economy

2. Education was not enhanced to boost future productivity, nor was research, innovation etc

3. Health was rundown

4. Expenditure–middleclass welfare, non–longer affordable tax cuts were built into the Budget

Wayne was the Treasurer when the bills came in and revenue collapsed. He kept us on a steady course and for the first time we were rated AAA by all three agencies and our economy grew t be the worlds 12th largest and our economy was the envy of all. And this was all done against bitter opposition and from a position of minority govt.

There is still HUGE amounts of Howard’s middleclass welfare left—the concessionary 15% tax on super regardless of amount salary sacrificed will cost more in 2015/16 than the Age and Invalid Pensions combined! Talking about the Age pension—how about removing asset millionaires from receiving any Age Pension?

The Libs want to keep all this unsustainable spending, tens of billions of dollars a year while trying to save a bit of money by throwing young unemployed of any assistance at all!

THE ABBOT GOVT IS RULING FOR 1% OF THE PEOPLE!

Who then paid off that credit card with another credit card, not once, not twice but three times, increasing the debt ceiling each time to accommodate his reckless spending!

Don’t forget all the major cuts of Howard’s irresponsible spending Wayne managed to do despite minority govt.

Armpit, it will be a good idea to read some accounts of 2008–13 other than those in the DT rag.

Hokey is facing the same problem Wayne did: revenues falling well behind projected revenue.

What major cuts? Did you also forget the massive spending increases under Labor with new departments that did nothing? Look at Tim Flannery - what a colossal waste of money he was.

So your biggest argument was the Climate Change Authority?

Right.

Thanks for playing. Please come back tomorrow with some additional nonsense.  Facts remain facts and facts are that smokin Hog and idiot have a 40.4$ BILLION DEFICIT this year, which will only grow as iron ore continues to drop and they continue to present the senate with policies that simply don't stack up. They were meant to fix the budget, and instead they've managed to destroy the budget.  Not only that, but there is still 2 years of their tenure left, which means come May it'll just be hilarious to watch them squirm as they either a) continue the massive deficits or b) introduce even dumber cuts aimed at the poor that will see them drop even further in the polls!

Don't forget: Tony said NO CUTS TO HEALTH, EDUCATION, PENSIONS.  So what's he going to do for 2015/2016? Grin Grin Grin
End the misery. Bring on the DD.
