but let's not throw out Scott Morrison with the bath water.

Scotty needs to go more than Tony.

What's stopping him? The toilet's just down the corridor.   Grin Embarrassed

Skkkott Morrison is exakkkly what Australia needs at this time when we're STILL fighting Muslims here and overseas (how many years has it been now?)

Oh dear it's easy to see politics is little more then a team sport for you instead of a mechanism for doing some good.  Soon as your Dear Leader crashes down in flames you dress another one up in your mythology and declare him God.  Pathetic

Good job Pansi and what a wonderful result. Not only did you help to rid the world of Campbell Newman you also put us well on the road to ridding us of Abbott and a significant redirection of of Federal Govt policies.  Its been a monumental election result with far reaching implications well beyond just Qld

When a nation tells its police force and its service personnel NOT to wear their uniforms in public for fear of getting killed by Muslims ~ then you KNOW there's a war going on in our suburbs that is as deadly as any combat situation over there in the Middle East.

Well you were warned that this might happen if you went to war in Iraq. Still too dumb to learn I see Herbie.

could well be... do they have anyone who knows an ything about running a GOVT?.. as far as I know everyone was so busy hating Newman they took their eyes off what they were actually voting for??>.

I guess on e or two may have been secretary of their local bowling club...at one time??>..well better than nothing...

the left seem to think the govt can go on for ever dishing out money to the people who pay next to nothing in income tax.... at the same time pay off massive debts....and build things.. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

they bury their heads when it comes to paying for any of it though......what where.... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy.. dont ask....

as we all know Qld very dependent on mining exports..

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.. guess where that is going right now?...

not sure people are rushing to spend their holidays in Qld either..

Once again we voted against a government we hate instead of voting for a government we like. I looks good and it looks like we are in control, but the reality, it will just be a continuation of the sht fight.

I have absolutely no faith that this government will have any positive effect on QLD, so in three years we will back where started from only worse off than before.

Turning around a massive debt is not easy, it is expected to hit $100 bil soon, and labor has no plan at all to even trim the edges. Unfortunately the previous labor government got the massive debt ball rolling and the only way to pay off that big of a bill is to sell assets. But I suspect a magic fairy wand is at hand at labor headquarters, and like you said they will have the debt cancelled within 3 years or else. Because as you said it should have taken only 3 years to get it under control.

so the fact that you don't know their plan means it's a bad plan?  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

I didn't say they would have debt cancelled, but I would have expected debt to at least start heading in the other direction given that was what they promised at the last election, it was their number one priority wasn't it?

Labor has made no such promises so I'm prepared to give them a little more leeway. I'll wait until I hear their plan before I make a decision

Yes actually, not having a plan is a bad plan.

They had three years to develop a debt reduction plan, and now they are in power, they have nothing, yep well done there labor.

there is a difference between not having a plan, and not announcing your plan. Get back to me when you figure out what that difference is.

There is of course another way of looking at it; namely what the LNP are doing has nothing really to do with a "debt emergency" and everything to do with ideology and feathering their own nest. If you listen to Turnbull's speeches lately you will see that even he is saying a lot about "sharing the burden" instead of just placing the burden on the shoulders of one section of the community. Ask Swag.  He is constantly on about cutting penalty rates "for the good of the country" but you you ask him if the business community will take an equivalent cut in pay all you get is silence.  You see when it suites them they argue like socialists "its for the good of everyone they say" but their solutions are seem to put money in their pockets and there's no equivalent sacrifice on their part.  And cods, your working class (where do you think your sense of community comes from), that's easy to tell. But its so embarrassing for you that that they have you repeating their propaganda for them. Qld went the way it did because most people there know that its all LNP BS.  Why dont you at least think about it.  Next time you look at another LNP policy (eg penalty rates, so called IR reform) ask yourself, how come everything they propose always ends up putting money in their pockets and taking money away from workers and their families???
